I love the French ear to hear differences in vocals. They chose to hear some of the roughest vocal diamonds, that no amount of pressure could turn it into a pure stone, and can appreciate it to the max.
Imo the European and Australian versions are So much better than the US. It’s really frustrating that 3/4 of the people here already had record labels, were already Professional singers etc. I wish they were all ‘amateurs’ who hadn’t had those opportunities. I Love the French - and how creative and unique the voices are. No one sounds Meghan Trainer! 😆 The coaches are more are steeped in more culture than here, and Mika’s excitement is So great!!!💕🥺 I miss Europe so much!

So very French. I've always appreciated their sense of drama and characterizations in popular music ever since I was in my teens back in Japan. It's been 65 or more years. Now in US at 76. They have the most iconic singers over the years that will never be confused with anyone else bcs of their unique voice or style. You'll be surprised how popular French Chanson are in Japan from 1940s on.
