Frodo was the MVP of this movie 😂 Finally saw this. Fricken great movie, real simple story and yet expertly told.

I legit crush hard for Lupita Nyong'o and when I saw the trailer I did not recognize her... it wasn't until I saw her name and said wait - what - she is looking like a homeless cat lady??
This is my ultimate favorite genre whether it's alien zombies bombs... the end of days chaos genre is my jam... LoL.
    Can't wait.

Awesome review! I absolutely love this franchise. I had to choose between watching this one and Maxxxine (trying to save some money), and went with Maxxxine.
I know it comes out next week, but I already got my tickets and super excited to watch it! I'll be waiting for your review on it 🤗

As a creature feature fan myself, I'm looking forward to this. I know this is petty, but I did hate the excessive advertisements for it, lol. For the film itself, I loved the first one, not really a fan of the extended lore of the second but I still enjoyed it. When I get the opportunity, I'm going to check this one out, especially if there's an unexpected twist in the beginning that carries the rest of the film

Super glad they keep knocking it out of the park. Creature features are the best :)

Great review as always u guys keep me locked in on the horror as a lapsed fan, u guys let me know what stand outs I need to make time for, especially in these days of a market that's FLOODED with various levels of quality films from indie to big budget. Salute for all the years of good reviews. Stay healthy, stay blessed!

Cecil! How are you, my friend?! ❤ I’m looking forward to seeing this tomorrow or Saturday! I was actually never able to see the first two movies in a theater, so kind of excited to see this one in a theater at least! 😄 Love Lupita in any horror she’s in, too!

I don't know, but to me, it feels lame whenever a third entry in a franchise goes back in time to tell an origin story that takes place before the first movie (Insidious, The King's Man), instead of just moving the plot forward.
I am not saying that you are flat out in front of an inferior movie per se, but sometimes it just feels more like milking the cow just for the sake of it rather than for the benefit of the narrative

I completely disagree, when we watch the other movies we are left wondering how it got to such a world (where did it all start?) thus, they made a movie explaining the origin. And, I would agree they were milking the cow if this movie was lazy and cheap but it isn't. This movie is fantastic and very well acted. I also don't think a third movie of the other family from the first 2 was needed, so this was really the only thing they could do other than take us to another family slap bang in the middle of this apocalyptic world, but I'm glad they didn't.

@@ethan-xm3ub well, I disagree, too. An origin story takes away all the mystery and speculation. Without a movie that answers to that question, anyone in the audience may be able to create their own story about how everything started, and that is something that spawns more questions, which are always much more interesting than any answer that kills every chance of being creative in your own head. The way I see it, some things are better left as unanswered as possible

I enjoyed it immensely but it still has the same inherent logic flaws as the other ones. These creatures can hear a cough or crunch glass from blocks away but they can’t hear the heightened pulse and heartbeat of humans when they are literal inches away from them? That’s just silly

    These movies were bad.
