The 80s for me was all about those Topps Baseball wax packs. Crack them open, get the smell of the gum and the white starchy stuff proofed out a little (was supposed to keep the gum from sticking lol). The foil pack cards may be flashier and more expensive but a wax pack brings me back to being a kid every time.

Is it “silvering” or “slivering”? I always thought it was “slivering” meaning little slivers of residual paper/stock as a result of the blade sharpness.

They eye appeal is the front of the card so the back doesn't matter as much.
