I know this vid is a few months old but thank you for sharing the rough ride. It gives a great real world view of how the seas are and how different boats handle them and at various speeds. I like you how talk us through the trip. Like saying you're slowing down or speeding up and taking big hits. It might be an every day thing for you but for some of us that are learning, every little bit of virtual on the water experience really helps me. So thanks again. And cool e-reel.
2:49 oceanic reminder of who’s boss. Nice boat brother. Nice fishing. We’ll see you out there. One love my man. And that’s fishin’ in Gods Great Ocean.
The boat will always tell you what speed to travel. it's up to you to listen. The best rule is that whatever you are feeling is how your boat is feeling as well.
Halibut time, kind a small, but keeper for Derian, don't let this young man hooked into fishing, he will go fish everyday, just kidding. Good to see you having good time with your fellow worker, R.S.
Nothing like watching fear in a captains eyes while here's telling you he's having fun. That boat should never see more than 22 knots. She'll be doing this the rest of her life.... or will she.. its up to you captain
I really want this or a Weldcraft. Essentially the same boat. I have a 21' Crestliner for Lake Michigan Salmon but I would love something like this to battle the larger waves and have the comfort of the cabin. Plus more downrigger space.
Tell you a little trick back troll in the direction of your lines keep your bait vertical you will get a lot more hits, you can stay on the bottom easier
If I had the money for an electric reel I’d use one lol. If you ever need to fill a spot let me know I’ve got all my own gear but my boat isn’t ready yet
You just need a thigh plate and a kidney belt. Put the butt I to thr gimbal and snap the reel straps to connect the reel rings to your kidney belt. Now all you do is lean back and lower your torso to generate more leverage and the reel straps take the force off your arms.
Stabicraft probably dropped out of the election because it does not have a standing toilet? Stabicraft has a small toilet where you can sleep. So a worse boat stuck with a better toilet is probably this one? On the contrary, I would have chosen a better boat with a worse toilet instead. But we are all different and prioritize differently. There was a Stabicraft 2900, it had a large toilet with a shower, but that model may not be there anymore? The Stabicraft 2750 Ultracab is a dream boat for hard fishing 👍👌
Bottom line Stabicraft is an incredibly cool boat I don't think I've ever said anything bad about them I just happened to own a duckworth and love it! I haven't researched Stabicraft maybe it is a better boat and that's fine 🙂
Yes I have only ridden with a Stabicraft boat at one time. It was a 2250 Stabicraft. It felt bigger and you could walk around the whole cabin. I thought it landed softly on the water compared to other boats I have been on. Was impressed with how it went on the water. Felt safe in the boat even though it was high waves. Had I had the finances for it and done a lot of sea fishing, I would have chosen Stabicraft. I mostly do fly fishing in rivers, lakes and more. But boating all the fishing is fun and enjoyable. But I live in Sweden. Duckwurt boat I do not even know if we have here? We have Stabicraft here and felt stable and very well made and well thought out boat. Halibut we have good fishing in the neighboring country Norway.

Awesome comments Thanks for watching!
Geez that hits hard. what a backbreaker😳
What a great comparison between the two different reels!

Thank you for sharing. From Minnesota, looking for aluminum fishing boat (rocky shores) and Duckworth on my list

Thanks Chang! Hope all is well for you!
OH NO UPSIDE DOWN REEL, A ""HERES YER SIGN"" Rookie maneuver😨.
Use rod holder pull line thru guides, turn the dang handle. EZ.
Wow. There are so many pacific halibuts up North. I have never caught one down here. It is nice to fish with friends.
Well someday if you make it up to Oregon come see me!

wow good fishing spot good luck and get a lot of fish I like the video senior
Been seeing those dolphins a lot out there. They were all over the place today.
Beautiful beach.
Well what he lacks in strength he gains in heart!
Lol 😆
Great video but not a fan of the electric reel. Fight the old fashion way and enjoy the battle
I was surprised to see how the boat pounds in seas that appear to be only 3-4 foot

Might be easier if you use the reel the right way.
“ let him go without hurting him”
Is it real 😅
if you going to use electric reel, you don't deserve to be out there fishing, you have to work for it, that is the whole fun of fishing .
If you put them down and rub the white side belly they calm down
In Indonesia this fish is called the next fish

Would never go out with this guy absolutely does not know what he is doing. What not do when underway,
3.5 ft waves smashing your Duckworthless should have bought the only worthy boat STABICRAFT
Okay whatever
