Not everyone has access to comic shops. It's one of the major flaws of the comic industry. Comics used to be sold in stores but when a lot of people have been growing up they're only available in one store cities away
Not everyone knew about these comics. I know me personally I vaguely knew of black panther, and had no idea what Shang-chi was until this year. The only poc comic I knew of was really static shock

For example I could say I wish I saw more girlled cheese sandwitches in movies, not enough love for them. I've never looked up grilled cheese sandwitch movies, I could either complain that I never see them, or I could look it up and possibly find a whole niche of grilled cheese sandwitch movies I never knew about. Thats the issue with today, people just take what they are fed, they don't do any of their own research and they think they're being so rightieous and groundbreaking, and they 're just oblivous. lol Not to devalue the importance of a movie like Shang Chi here, it is definitely an important milestone movie, in many ways. But some people go too far with it, get a little educated before you shout out your claims. Its just causeing more anger and division when you say something with the angle that your opinion and your view is fact and right when, no there are many views and there was also history before you and many things that you don't know. There are so many factors.

@Alyssa Willie Im not an expert on her, so take my statement with a grain of salt. When I first knew of her she used to talk with what I suppose was a fake black American hood accent. I thought it was a character she was playing for comedy. Apparently she was actually talking this way all the time despite being from an affluent white community to Chinese immigrant parents. She has since dropped it in recent years. Well she did an interview where she said she wouldn't take roles that required an Asian accent because it was offensive to her. So she is being dragged for hypocrisy.

A lot of Asian-Americans kids (me included) grew up picking up our immigrant parents' accent, then when we get to high school and we get bullied for having a "weird accent", so we desperately try to adopt a different accent, mainly from TV. Trying not to sound like my parents was a constant struggle in my childhood. Now I don't speak in my parents' accent anymore, but whenever I try I sounded like I was making fun of them. I think Awkwafina adopted blaccent for the same reason, but it is a shame that she used it for fame. I really do wish Asian-American would stop appropriating black culture, they should just pick up a good old southern accent, it's embarrassing honestly.
