  • Rare 1970s Mk.1 ARP Axxe and ARP Little Brother combo!
The ARP Axxe is a classic monophonic synthesizer with a single VCO, a 24dB VCF, an LFO, portamento, a 37 key keyboard, and a pitch bend knob. This model features a black and gold design that was only in production for a few years before ARP retooled the Axxe.
The ARP Little Brother is a monophonic expansion module for ARP System synthesizers. The Little Brother has its own built in VCO and LFO, and a sub-octave divider that can produce up to four tones simultaneously. This companion synthesizer can fatten up the sound of any synth that has the necessary 1v/octave CV output and external audio input connections.
This ARP Axxe and Little Brother have 100% original parts, however the Little Brother is missing its nameplate. The synths come with the original Little Brother Manual, custom wooden carrying cases, and the essential cables to get started. Some of the sliders on the Axxe are difficult to move, but every slider functions as it should. Watch our function test video so you can see the two synths in action.
The Axxe has been used by 808 state, Jude Allen, Adrian Chase, Rick Davis, Baby Ford, Pascal Gabriel, Herbie Hancock, Paddy Kingsland (BBC Radiophonic Workshop), Howard Leese (Heart), Eat Static and other notable musicians.
We’re selling these synths as a pair, but we’ll accept offers for just one or the other.

Take it that this is long gone?! As I'm sure you know; the Little Brother is as rare as hen's teeth. Could have bought one a few years ago for quite a lot of money but would probably been a good investment, with hindsight. Since then, (including this one!) I've seen 2 come up for sale.
