Computer says no! I think this maybe an excuse which we may need to get used to. Here’s to King Albert 😂 Well done Smoggy, I think you did the right thing. 🍻 19:42
This is crazy I orderd 4 pre owned sovereigns this week from Atkinsons and Royal Mail left outside my front door, which is open on to the street! but any way mine were 2024, 1905, 1900, and a 1891 which is a young Victoria I think.
Just showing the recent shortcomings of the royal Mail, I had an experiance a while ago with a failed special(Gold) delivery, (in which i was at home) on the second attempt, I let the poste almost get back into their van, confronted them & they said they didn't have said parcel, I insisted they looked again, they found it on their passenger seat. Gave me the impression they were going to steal it....
For future reference: Victoria, Edward VII, George V, George VI, Elizabeth II, Charles III. Not counting Edward VIII because I am not sure any sovereigns were minted during his 8 month reign(and even if there were the prices would be super crazy). I think the first sovereigns minted with QE2 was in 1957.
Thanks for the info. Don’t know where I got Albert from perhaps a brain Fart lol. I also called Gold, silver a view times but I think viewers will realise what I meant to say.
Do Atkinsons not offer the service of guaranteed delivery on a particular day? Chards do. I stipulate that deliveries should be made on a Saturday morning. I see the RM van pull up and park over the road. I wander off over to save postie the effort of walking the 20 yards to my house.
They offer a free insured delivery and also other paid delivery services ... I've always gone with the free delivery and had no problems at all ... its insured anyways
Was buying sovereigns when you could get 4 for a £100 ,😅😅😅 if you want sovereigns go to a good coin show I've bought some beautiful ones 😮only buy shield backs if possible, they always goes up ,😅

I do a mixture to try and avoid too much attention from the bank. I use two credit cards, a debit card and sometimes a bank transfer. I always pay the credit cards off straight away which you don't have to. I have a direct debit set up to pay the full balance every month anyway.
'ALBERT' really? I have become concerned for you. We have never had a Monarch called Albert. The last Victoria was 1901. I really dont think you should be giving advise.
At about the 7 minute mark, you include a delivery note which clearly shows your postcode and most of your address. For your personal security, I would strongly recommend you remove this from your video, even if you do not store your coins at home.

Very nice coins !
Your lucky they stayed on your door step !
and a Free tube !
I was happy and annoyed at same time
It all melts down the same, think Viking, now that is fine collecting, and people willingly pay it handsome premium, cheers cuz!

@@hardergamer that was lucky. A good mix. The 2024 copper coloured ones are growing on me. Enjoy
I was amazed your sovereigns in those cases were just loose.
I personally like 2 x 2 inch slips, so you can get 20 in pockets on A4 loose leaf.
no they fit in holes so are not loose.
And yes you did do the right thing! Also some of those older ones you can sell for a big more of a premium.

Nice gold rush you have going there
Same issue with royal mint - card is refused but bank transfer works fine…
Purchased some 1957 Sovereigns in the hope that they might bring a premium.
Bullocks
Definitely not Uncle Albert from OFAH 🤣🤣🤣

Chards are just brilliant, but I am slighlty biased! 😎
20:45 Albert 😂😂😂😂
I thought when I said it I might be wrong lol
Still a great purchase and I’m very envious. Well done.
Those 'Albert' George V coins are very nice, and desirable, and the young QE2 are also great. But check you're comments for constructive criticism.
If the Bank refuses the card - divide the purchase over 3 payments using Chip & Pin.

No its Edward VII (1901 - 1910) NOT Albert. Prince Albert was Queen Victorias husband who died 1861.

Nice stack of coins there. Edward the 7th was born prince Albert Edward. Maybe thats why you kept calling him albert lol. nice video.
If you do get a King Albert Sovereign it's probably a fake.
