Ah! I had same story in my 1st year of collage!
But, there was no poetry. Instead, there was a lot of science and random facts. She is an arts student and I am a commerce student. We both were the toppers of our own respective classes too. We used to skip our classes and spent time in library every day for like 3 to 4 hours. We were madly in love with each other but not into a relationship though. Those were the nicest days of my life.
After being with her for 2-4 months I heard my 'Farz' calling. I wanna become an IFS officer and have to study a lot. We both used to ignore a lot of our studies for each other and then... things started to fall apart. I slowly started to drift apart and stopped replying to her texts and calls. She got the point too. Soon after this, I moved to new city without saying goodbye to her.
I sometimes think about calling her but I cannot ever muster enough courage to dial her number. I wish after becoming an IFS officer, we meet again. I wand her to scream at me, slap me, push me but, then maybe forgive me :-) I wish this happens.
Thank you RVJC. I was taking a break from polity and this showed up on recommendations. It feels nice to remember things about the people you cherish the most. :-)

After 1 whole year of not talking with each other, I was very happy to know this. We talked and I realised that she is with someone else now.

Why boys always do like this...in my life I have also one boy who is my classmate unfortunately we are also topper of our class in engineering clg...we start to chat in phone for 6months...in lockdown period..we like eachother but didn't say that to eachother... after that he ignored me and I felt very sad..thn I realised that he has some responsibility in his family and all...that's how we ended....
