Pffffff. I pulled 4( 2XB&W) Bedard's and a Fantilli High Gloss. The best was the Gretzky auto easter egg. Not a fan of sticker autos but it's Gretzky.
As a collector since the mid 90s, I would much rather have these retro inserts than most other inserts of any set in recent years.
It's a great, fun rip. Collectors may be whining, but if I was a kid ripping this.....wow

Too many inserts and special cards, it is hard to keep up. I also think there is too much product being released.

Agreed. I stopped collecting because of too much product. Loved collecting Young Guns and Canvas, have every set from 05-06 to 21-22. Then there was more with extended, more YGs and canvas, black canvas, and retro Young guns. I decided it was getting too much and more difficult to collect so I stopped with those sets.
The skates look so awkward on the retro young guns. They totally should be behind the color
Personally, I wish they would have the retro inserts as stand alone products like the 1990s. Keep the theme of the variant # too on all the parallels. Imagine if SPX Force had 4 superstars on one card (like the football sets) and autographed...
I got pretty lucky with my box -- base YGs for me were Nemec, Savoie, Garand and Laberge, pulled the 08-09 retro for Carlsson and Knies, and then pulled the Bedard canvas YG, and a canvas YG black and white for Solovyov. Pretty happy with that.
I actually love the “retro” inserts in Extended, that’s why I’ve been a fan of extended so far in its life. The 90’s designs remind me of when I was a kid collecting, before I quit and came back to the hobby from 00-06
45 K Bedards graded and people are still acting like its going to be worth anything. Personally I like that they printed the hell out of it, makes rips cheaper! Thanks for the vid Zeeree.

Opened 2 boxes, pulled a silver outburst young guns and a clear cut young guns, along with 4 different fantilli cards including his young guns. I missed ripping hockey wax but that’s about the best 2 boxes you could hope for so I think I personally won’t be opening anymore extended until the price drops
I think I’m gonna wait for that to come down a bit as much as it will. I don’t know if it will.
I’ve bought 4 series 2 hobby boxes trying to chase a Bedard Young Guns. Today I buy 1 box of extended series and finally pull Bedard’s Young Guns Canvas 😅😅😅. I was speechless. Always appreciate your videos ZeeRee 😊
The 2001-02 retro seems to be SP. I watched many cases broken and Zero 01-02 retro young guns

got to love how a guy who spends thousands of dollars a year on cards still buys products that he doesn’t like and complains about it. I got an entire case of this stuff which is the first time in my life I’ve ever done that. I knew my chance of making my money back was middle school. My intention was to have fun and pull a bunch of interesting versions of rookie cars at affordable price. The Rockbottom price of $120 a box and I had a lot of fun. I love those late 90s insert designs and especially the early 90s hockey heroes insert cards updated with acetate, those are just killer. I don’t care that they don’t hold a lot of secondary market value, they’re great. I had a lot of pretty good luck with my case definitely beating the odds even without any big polls. extended is probably one of my favorite products for flagship because you have a chance at getting a little bit of everybody in one product rather than breaking it up over a few different ones.

FYI, ECHL no longer stand for East Coast Hockey League. Used to, but when they adsorbed the CHL (Central Hockey League) and extended out west, they just are called ECHL for some reason. Only know this due to being a KC Mavs fan and a smidge of research.

I'd be so pissed if I got 4YG's and 2 worthless 1stRound pick cards. Didn't they do that with the last extended as well - mixing YG's and 1stRound picks? I can't deal with Extended. Possibly the worst thing Upper Deck has ever done and that's saying something. Simultaneously wrecked S1, S2 and worst of all SPA.

The thing with upper deck is if they make new inserts you get things like teachers pet, deep roots and PCs. I prefer the retros, obviously they just need to upgrade their new inserts, cant rehash the old ones forever.
I just can't get myself to spend the money on this garbage. Just all inserts just dollar cards everywhere.

Is Knies overrated or the real deal?
Is there anything you EVER like? Just because you don’t like it and put I’d down, doesn’t mean other ppl won’t like it and maybe buy just one box instead of $1,000 in packs…makes ZERO sense
Too bad upper deck overproduced the shit out of this product. Probably 1 million bedard young guns out there. Barely collectible. No wonder the price dropped 80% already
