- Update : Colombus Aparthotel is open today . Morning Walk in Las Americas, Tenerife Canary Islands passing by the Colombus Aparthotel, Paddy O'Kellys and Jersey Cow. The Chieftain Irish Bar has just reopened also and we pass a few other hotels in Las Americas. Filmed July 2021.

Hi Kevin stayed in the Columbus many times, and the california a wee hotel tucked beside the tigo tan hotel, it's a great area to stay in there's plenty of choices close by. Wish I was there now. 🍸🍻🍀🍀

Kevin I stayed at the Tigotan and previously when it was known as the Dream Palace it’s a good hotel for adults who want a break from kids. When you say Tommy is that the guy from Coatbridge who previously played in Gaelic Corner before.

Can you tell me if Columbus has a COVID test center next by ready for departure tests please? And if you recommend any lively bars/restaurants nightlife? We don’t want to stay in the hotel everyday. Thanks , sorry not sure about tests nearby but I know there are a few. Some good live music pubs around the corner from you and not far to parque de la Paz strip of bars. Enjoy.

Is it any good this hotel just booked it, not to bothered about loudness of people as no doubt I will be one on holiday. Coming all inclusive as worked out £20 more a day over self catering.

Hoping our September holiday gonna be OK. Have cancelled a few during this time. Watching your vids seeing more opening gradually and restrictions easing makes us optimistic. Btw you missed a good hotel in the Zentral shopping centre straight across from the coral beach - the Zentral Centre hotel; has a great roof terrace with a nice pool, cracking views all around americas and adeje and anyone can get lift up to it to check it out. Maybe you could go up for some good panoramic views of americas.

Have stayed in the Columbus quite a few times, great place around there, The Chieftain, The Giddy Goose pub, although that one has been closed for a while now. Hope to be back over there in Feb. Anchor bar has gone. The Company that owned the building that included apartments/hotel above the Anchor have converted the whole complex. It looks very nice.
24 of us going out on the 4th march and staying at the Columbus 👌🏻

@@jona6720 hi Kevin I'm here as I type this message. Its an absolute nightmare of a place. Pure kaos. Haven't got a proper night's sleep once.. Worse experience I've ever has in a hotel.. No lifts working or swimming pool open. I could go on and on.. I would highy recommend a different hotel my friend as I'm not happy here and I've unfortunately another 6 days to go!!!!! 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

looks a lovely hotel John, I done a walkthrough check the hotels playlist. Some good bars near also.
@@ScotsmaninTenerife We were there a couple years ago. For 16 years we have been going to the Bitacora. That to was another excellent hotel. But having look on You tube of the renovations, it looks as if it now catering for the younger families, so we have opted for Vulcano.
There’s more Irish pubs in Tenerife than in Dublin

How is this hotel compared to the Coral California Hotel
not stayed in either David but location similar and walked into both it would depend on the deals I would probably pick Coral.
@@ScotsmaninTenerife coral got for £963 booked with easyJet so got £100 off the other one is £1250 self catering studio room and £1250 all inclusive double room
@@ScotsmaninTenerife picked the coral as its a adult only hotel so no problems with kids running mad around the hotel

Know that area very well Kevin, usually grab a pint in the Irish bars, wasn't keen on TIOTAN although it has a great rooftop bar/view open to non residents..FYI good exchange rate in that wee shop next to Coral California and, good pizza shop just down from the skate park.

Great video Kevin, thank you. We are staying in the Columbus for Tenerife we normally stay in Costa Adeje so staying in this area is new for us, do you have any recommendations of somewhere to go for Hogmanay. We will have two teenagers with us so kind of family friendly.

Hi,Kevin stayed at the Columbus many years ago till we started staying in the ora negro round the corner,one of our locals was the anchor bar,but iam led to believe it has now gone sold to tui who have the apartments at the rear of the anchor could you confirm this form please

The Anchor bar has shut now it’s a hotel it’s moved to Costa Adeje now it’s called the Irish anchor 👍
