I think thats a Peitjean Vice I take it you are using Truly excellent and again nothing plastic or store bought for wings all natural ,a true fly tyer and artist
Nice fly! Trevor Jones showed me how to make those wings a few years ago on a mayfly, he used a partridge feather, but i use grey drake, its much more durable and get three flies from one feather sizes #20-14. Trout and grayling love em. They still catch fish when the wings are chewed up! Thank you for the video!

Beautifully tied and a real gem for anyone's fly box, but I doubt if I would ever tie a tippet to it. The same fly but without the intricately constructed wing would probably fish just as well, if not better.
what specific brand of CDC are you using????....it has to be longer stemmed stuff in order to use it like you did for the wing case and also be able to prep for a dubbing loop.

Rtc Rtc It deppence how unlucky you are, if the teeth hit the wing i can be destroyet easely but all in all it is ok to use.

Do you have an example of brand you like that has longer stem stuff?

it is the blue one. the tungsten i will not recoment. one drop on the floor and the tip is gone for ever ;-)
