I realise this is a fairly old (in internet terms) post, but just saying how inspiring this was, and how I'll be adding pads under my singer-songwriter stuff (already planned to do that with the EHX Freeze pedal or the Helix/HX Stomp freeze patches from John Nathan Cordy) but this use of pre-recorded patches is really great, thanks!
Thank you for this. We lost out worship leader and I've been asked to lead. It's just me and a 12 strong accousticnelectric. In not sure how to add this to my playing, but I'm hoping to learn to add something to my playing
Are these pads just playing the same drone/chord over and over? What happens when the guitarist/ musicians changes chords, wouldn't that clash and sound like wrong notes?
Can I possibly connect the player (phone) to my keyboard and have the pad sound run through the instrument (if I do not have a DI box)? Will such a set up (of connecting the phone to the input of my Keyboard so that pads play from the keyboard output) compromise the sound of the pads? Will using a phone connected to the DI box connected which is linked to the snake cable give a better sound of the pads?
Hey! It depends on the Keyboard you're using. Some keyboards basically have an audio interface / DI Box built-in, like the RD-2000 or the Nord. You can connect your phone to an Aux USB port on the keyboard and control it that way. I've personally done this with an RD-2000 and it works. If you have the option to make it a different set-up, I would definitely do that. I like to give my audio tech a separate "pad" input to have overall control from FOH. In terms of "better sound" I think most people would agree that using and Audio Interface would be the best route, but it also depends on how much extra gear you want to have to deal with each week depending on your set-up. Hope this helps. This video can also help: ua-cam.com/video/-M8w3RyxO14/v-deo.html&ab_channel=PianoMarvel
Hi Jon , I have a guest ion concerning using a volume pedal with I pad . When you come out of pad with 1/8 trs and then to the splitter as you show and into a volume pedal the sound becomes distorted . I tried 1/8 trs to 1/4 trs into pedal then to direct box but I’m only getting one side of the content . Any thoughts on this problem ? Thanks , Gary
Awesome video! Just one questions: do these pads (Coresounds) cross to other tones if we need to?! Or we have to do the pregression and go for another tone?!
Hi Monica, sorry I didn't see this right away. These pads are designed to drone in one key. So there's no need to change based on the progression. The only issue is if the song modulates or has borrowed chords.
Hi. Are the pads only holding the key of the song or are the chords changing? If there are chord progression, how is it controlled in a live worship setting? Btw, there is no loop to the Coresound.
They should work fine on any music player, including android phones. You could either use the built-in music player, or something like VLC. The coresounds pads play back in either the iOS player (iphone and iPad) or in any WAV player.
Thank you brother Jon, this is the first time I get to know the use of pad. We used to play pad straight from the Keys. Very helpful.

I was thinking the same thing.

How do I connect this into my church system? It's just me and a 12 strong acoustic electric. I'm just not sure how I would out these into my amp
Hi! Do you have list of worship songs and their pads?
where do I find the exceptional worship pod cast that you speak of at 0:51?
itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-exceptional-worship-podcast/id955460994?mt=2
Keyboard player- fired/not needed.
Keyboard player still useful. 10:45 Also can try to sing, preach or learn playing guitar etc. :)
I'm a keyboard player, and I use pads 😅

To move between pads you can use app called Crossfader Soundboard Studio Lite (Only works on iOS devices) to move between different keys pads..
Coresound now has an app that has a simple to use player that crossfades
Thank you so much
And what does the keyboard player play now? Or just not needed?
Good point
we play chords too, not just one note. I main pads and I have been scolded for putting on a constant pad and playing piano.

*progression

What model number is the Taylor guitar you are using in this video?
It's an 814. Unfortunately, not mine. :( Borrowed from a friend. Such a killer guitar. Thanks for asking!
john what about for fast rythum songs?
Why do you take two cables out of the phone, and then go to the 1/4? Is it not easier to go straight from 1/8 to 1/4? Thanks
The 1/8 to 1/4 is a viable option too. If you're running mono, you have to make sure your cable is 1/8 in stereo to 1/4 mono.

maxpriya1 in this case, the loop is just the key. Tonal pads with chords would need to be played by a keys player
Do these pads also work on android phones or just iphones?

thank you
you're welcome!!
Why is it called worship ??
Hi, can i download some pad samples
of course try to dl it on youtube search it chord by chord.
Why do people play worship songs in Bb?
Sip Reimer to make us guitar players uncomfortable.
Just capo your guitar on the 3rd fret and play in the key of G. Problem solved
😂 i understand the struggle 😂
Very useful tip
