Thank you very much for recording the tram route, nine years ago I lived in Notts and fond memories of the town and thanks to you for a moment could I return to it: P

1:20 remains of the only station on the network never to have opened

Interesting! I never paid attention to that before. What would the station have been named, and why did they cease work on it after installing just the platform edges?

@@mbta3247 I've been looking into it for a while the only thing that is mentioned about the trams in the area on the network was a provision for a stop near a British Gas place and that's all that's ever mentioned in the area and I could also find no British Gas place in the area as well but I am looking into it still

@@YoloMenace001 At the south corner of Western Blvd and Radford Rd there appears to be a gas distribution hub, and there are two large tanks next to the Selco down the street. Apparently there was once a much bigger facility in between the two. www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2606108

@@mbta3247 yeah you can see where the platform edges are from Google maps/earth and I originally mistaken it for 2 actual platforms until I saw that they were platform edges like 3 months ago

Why was so much money thrown away on the Robin Hood line? I'd have thought the NET was a very long time in its planning stages before it came to fruition, seems mental having them running side by side. Admittedly whenever I've visited Nottinghamshire (not the city centre since 2000) but my kids always want to sit at 'bulwell bogs' and watch the trains and trams.

Because the robin hood line goes further

just think we could build a railway all the way to London, and call it the Great Central Railway. oh wait we did, then we demolished it.
