Hi Jim - I've been meaning to build a field strength meter. I think I found the amps on Amazon you were referencing, but they appear to use 9V to power them. Are you using the same 9V to power the amp as you are to power the circuit? Any chance to see the inside of your meter?

Hi Jim, Love your videos. I’m just getting started in Ham Radio KI5BIK, hopefully my new vanity call sign will be issued soon. I am setting up my station, which has been slow due to an AC leak causing me to redo the ceiling in my soon to be radio room.
Have you considered doing a video on station grounds? I have seen a few videos on the subject, but it’s still a little confusing. If you use a window pass thru and use the wing nut ground to a ground rod, and to your equipment is that a ground loop to your coaxial cable gnd shield? What about the third prong on your wall power plug, does that create a ground loop. BTW my radio room will be on the 2nd floor of my home. Value your opinion and insight.

I have and it is probably the hardest subject. I have seen the video where the guy cuts the ground lug. DON"T DO THAT. It is the same group that suggests that you lick with your tongue the PL259. I don't watch them. Fortunately their audience is a small number. When I feel like I can give helpful advice on grounding, I will cover it. I am on the second floor above the garage and there is no grounding conductor for RF to ground. It has been that way for almost 40 years of DXing. 73, Jim
