Haven’t taken the plunge into VB, yet. I appreciate your review since we are similar in skin tone. About the VB priming moisturizer you mentioned - does use of the golden version require you to change your foundation color?
Sorry for the delay! The golden version does not require me to change my foundation color, but a day or 2 in the sun for me warrants a change in foundation for me. I’m not sure this helps.
That's a nice angled blush. I'm going to see if I can get this without paying too much for shipping. There's seems just a tiny bit of a rosy tone to them..👍🏻

I prefer VB's 02! CT's Airbrush is really gorgeous, but I tend to choose cleaner ingredients if the option is there. I find VB's powder bronzer to be lightweight and easy to buff! Hope this helps, Stephanie!

Mine is also defective just like yours. Definitely need to keep it in the box if you want to put it in your handbag
Someone commented on here that you can put some weight on the compact so it would close. Mine will close if I force it and does stay shut. I find repeatedly doing that made the top easier to maneuver over time. I hope that helps.
The shade 2 works well for you. Shame about the packaging but I have found their customer service to be great. I have shade 1 coming.
They will be sending a replacement so I am relieved. Sounds like my compact is not an isolated case. Oops! But the product is so lovely. I know you'll enjoy it!
How would you compare this to the Charlotte Tilbury bronzer? Thanks for a great video :-)
I don't have the CT bronzer, but from what I've seen the two are quite similar. Both are extremely fine powders, matte and has a blurring effect. I think the main difference is VB's commitment to clean formulation and you get two shades in a single compact which, allows you to adjust the shade a bit and use the deeper shade as contour too.

They are! Both shades are more like all over lids base shades for me. I can build up Honey more which is great. These two shades make a very effortless simple eye look. You can add your favorite lid topper shadow on it too!

Oh wow that is not good. Customer service let me know today that they will send a replacement. I think they will take care of everyone who needs a new one, but very unfortunate.

Yes my pallet did the same but @CHERI VOYAGE recommended to place a heavy book on top- it worked! Beautiful bronzer!

I was so disappointed when i first opened it and tried to close- I thought the plastic film was in the way - then it was like what the what?!!??I really do love the bronzer- and anything VB- I am older and her products still work well for my mature skin- and WA-love love love!Stay well and I am so happy to have found you- love your tips/ tricks and techniques- lots to learn!

You can't force close this compact, you hold the button then close the top. I thought mine was broken but I was just closing it wrong.
Where the top and the bottom of the palette comes together doesn’t actually let you close the top at all. I only squeezed it shut to demonstrate how difficult it was and that it was defective.
The compact i got is defected as well. :(
Did you email them to let them know? They were helpful when I talked to them. I hope you get a good replacement!
