I’m glad to hear you say that. I have a few Boker knives, and I just got my first straight razor. I’m considering a second as a back up but didn’t know which brand to go for. Maybe I’ll just stick with Boker.
Hi Matt. My second razor was a Böker 1056 the one with the spine work. I still have it, original scales, restored to a mirror polish. I have 5-6 Bökers. My newest is the Elite Carbon 2.0. Fantastic razor.
Interestingly, modern day "Damascus Steel" has little to do with historical Damascus Steel beyond similarity in the pattern. Modern "Damascus pattern" steel achieves is pattern welded by folding two or more contrasting steels multiple times and etching it in acid. Historical Damascus Steel is not folded at all, but achieves its pattern through how the the lattice structure of the steel is formed whilst it is being alloyed in a crucible.
I've been looking at a few high quality Boker razors for awhile now especially I know now how to use one properly.I honestly think I've narrowed it down to the Waldorf 24K straight razor.not sure if Boker makes a Waldorf that's not 24K but would rather have it not in gold but names kinda sentimental considering street I grew up on and still live is called Waldorf.lol.does anyone else here have a Waldorf model and can you tell me if that particular model is a good purchase?only video I've found on it is in French so no idea what guys saying in review so any info on the Waldorf would be greatly appreciated.

I'm definitely going for my first straight razor from Boker!
But what is your opinion of the Thiers-Issard brand?
very good - in fact we just placed an order with TI for more. thanks,
@@RazorEmporium which of the Thiers-Issard brand can you recommend?
I’ve been looking at some Bokers. Thanks Matt.
On the Stallion's channel, when he referred to this brand, I thought he was saying Boca with his Rhode Island accent.
