Old subscriber back in the fold. My daughter texted me about Louie’s podcasts this morning right after I woke up. I can’t download apps right now because of Apple password issues. So I looked him up on UA-cam and God used this message to change my life today. This is just what I needed to hear. Cast all of my fears and worries on God and leave it there…..and walk away from it. Walk closely with God, there is no other way to have that relationship and He desires that more than anything. Lean in and listen to what the Lord has to say. This was so practical and so good! I have been struggling so much with anxiety lately and I suddenly realised while watching this that I worry about God as if the problems of the world + my own could overwhelm Him. Not wanting to "be a burden" when all the while he's been calling me to lay my burden upon Him. Help me Holy Spirit. 😭

I need God’s wisdom and direction to follow him and be led by him to a new place to live. I am being evicted from my apartment and I have no idea where to go. I need God’s help.

The translation from original text is the Spoken Word. All these actions have blessed my relationship with Him. I also copied a devotion passage that spoke on anxiety stating. “Anxiety is me being the god of my own fantasy”! That hit me so hard. Changed my life.

Verse 6, which clearly precedes v.7 , instructs us to humble ourselves under God's might hand and He will lift us up. Then comes v.7 immediately on the heals of the previous statement. "Cast your cares on Him!" I've just always thought that this referred to God the Father and not the "Chief Shepherd" (Jesus) of v.4.
