  • On the outskirts of the Egyptian Capital Cairo, in a village called Harraniya, a beautiful experiment began decades ago. Exactly in 1952 an Egyptian Architect, Ramses Wissa Wassef believed that all children are artistic. He wanted to dig deeper into how to trigger their creativity. The result was a unique experiment in tapestry weaving. It has produced extraordinary works from a regular Egyptian village. These tapestries have become collected by museums and galleries across the world.
The Ramses Wissa Wassef art center is now a place that has empowered Egyptian villagers, they've earned more income and got a chance with their air to tour the world.

Amazing beauty and talent. All these works of art are the soul and quintessence of the Egyptian women and men who created them. We follow your page on Facebook as well and you are very much appreciated all over the world. My kindest regards from Romania ❤️

Thank you Ikram for explaining the process of making the most beautiful carpets. So proud of all the Egyptian women who made those tapestries.
