- In this Technical Deep Dive video, we focus on one technique in particular and all the nuances of that skill...that is scissor over comb. By focusing on one technique instead of a particular haircut or style, we can learn how to cut hair as opposed to learning a haircut. Scissor over comb is a fundamental skill needed to cut shorter hair. Once mastered it opens up a world of variety and possibility of creating new hair shapes, fine tuned to suit your clients hair and your creativity. In this video Russell uses JATAI Tokyo Scissors and JATAI Tokyo Thinning Scissors by BMAC to demonstrate the technique.
