Is this camera any better now with software improvements? Currently using qoocam 8k but I want the best footage in a compact camera.

I like the quality of the pics from this camera and considering this but I also like 3D VR for the immersion. Torn between, the Detu Max, Obsidian Go or pay the extra and get the Teche720pro for the he quality and lens protection...detu is on indiegogo but the quality of the pics don't look too good. Any recommendations?
Tough one - I don't own Detu so I don't know yet. But will try to get one asap to test.

I want to see this compared with mi sphere and go pro fusion. And do you think the oculus go can handle a 15k photo?
This will be WAY BETTER than Mi Sphere and Fusion - as it is not in the same line. This one is close to professional level camera (as the price is also there) with 7 cameras - Fusion only has 2. Also, the raw footage has lots of room for post grading.

In which format this camera give photo & video output? Do they provide raw files?
This is actually another "negative" of this camera I forgot to mention in the review - it does not provide RAW files - only jpge for now. Hopefully in future firmware update RAW will be available.

It is not officially released yet or confirms yet for international pricing. The camera just release within China - I will let you know when I find out as well.

Meaning the resolution of the photo is 15K x 7.5K.

Nope....
No stereo means a no from me. My next camera upgrade must have stereo, as consumers are very vocal about it...
Sure I do agree with you. 2019 will be mostly 3D for 360 and 180 - as now commercial clients are smart enough to ask for stereo in the brief.
