Fun fact, the “Rosalina Story” was written in a single night by Yoshiaki Koizumi. He said "for a long time, it really felt like telling a story in a Mario game was something that wasn't allowed".
Honestly from a storytelling perspective Rosalina has a great character arc :)
But Miyamoto actually liked it, surprisingly. I'm glad it was accepted into the game.
I just hope Mario Galaxy 3 comes out eventually, even if I won’t be able of playing it myself due to constant work, I wanna my possibly future son to enjoy that adventure just like I enjoyed this one back in 2008.
You can always show them the classics, or the switch version since all-stars has been out for a while!
My grandma just died and this song calms me in these troubling times. Reminds me of her. Her calmness. Her sweet desserts that she would make.
I was always miss her. And I shall cherish my memories with her. I hope my grandma is doing well in heaven. Looking at me right now. Smiling. She was such a great person, and she always will be in my heart.
I have a similar story as well my Grandmother passed two years ago after a decade long fight with Cancer and we used to play this game and I used to go into the library and read the origin all the time and we'd play at the end of her bed she didn't understand videogames but understood I had fun and this always reminds me of those little moments with her
"Mama, you still have me! And don't be sad about your mama, because she's a part of you! That means she's always close by! It's like me. I love star bits because they remind me of my mama."
"No... No..."
"I have an idea! I will transform into a comet, a souring comet that can carry you all on this journey!"
"But...how?"
"Our destiny as Lumas is to transform into different things. Stars, comets, planets... We can become all of these things!"
"When I grow up, I want to become a star that makes someone special smile."
"That Luma turned into a real cutie of a comet, didn't he!"
"No more crying, Mama!"
"Thank you..."
I listen to this when I‘m having depression and it calms me down so much :)
I just love this game so much ;-;; I wanna go back in time :(
@@Trashvil W means win. Calling something a W means ur calling it a win aka something good. An L is essentially the opposite. It's short for Loss and represents calling something a loss, or something bad to simplify it.
@@dokkanenjoyer1068 Get out of here with that zoomer speak. We can be sad about whatever we want bro.
I just started crying out of nowhere hearing this. Things are tough for me right now. Issues at home and I just quit my job. but this just brings me back to when I was a kid playing this game with my brother and my cousin and everything feels so distant yet feels so happy. I needed this. ;~;
I remember playing this game so much with my little brother when we were young, crazy to think how simple things use to be
Somehow this 2 minute song has me in tears.
That's the power of music.
Shows how much heart, soul and tears were put into making this OST. SO many good tracks
We will miss and remember you forever Charles Martinet, we wish you a peaceful retirement as Mario!
Did anyone else cry while listening to this?
Not really, but when the music changed during the storybook, yes, I did cry.
When I close my eyes while listening to this , I just remember all those memories from this video game and that is wonderful.
This made me cry, I miss my childhood 😢 very beautiful music, one of the best!!✨💗
I recall being a 5th grader, doing my homework as quick as possible, just to get rewarded to boot up my Wii and play Mario Galaxy.
I miss those tomes.
Girls: "OMG, I can't believe he didn't cry during Titanic! Does he have any feelings?"
Me:
I remember being emotional to this when I was younger, I found it sad that the lumas didn’t know where their mother was. I couldn’t imagine how it would feel to be missing your mother. Ik nobody really cares about what I said but I just felt the need to say it.
I care about what you said. I also get emotional with this theme for the very reason you described, to this day
Quite possibly the only video game that made me cry from genuine sadness, and not just from raging at it.
i was too young to understand what was happening but when i replayed it ive never been more sad
Yeah, I know what you mean. And the part of sleeping under the tree…makes a part of me wish I stayed too young to understand anything.
Doctor: I'm afraid you have one minute left to live, any final requests?
Me: Play luma's theme from super mario galaxy.
Doctor: B..But sir, that song is a minute and 30 seconds long.
Death: Eh, dont worry. I'll wait just this once.
Me:meh theres no music that can made me cry
Also me hearing this:
SMIFFFF
This song is literally me.... If u even care......
we had memories but remember.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened- Dr Seuss.
Super Mario Galaxy is the best Mario game ever ;)
This song, along with the intro of SMW2: Yoshi's Island are two songs that would work perfectly in a nursery. So much comfort!
Once upon a time in the Mushroom Kingdom…
I'M FKIN CRYING, I CAN'T 😭😭😭
This song always gets me to cry and I cannot explain why..
It just gets me directly at my soul
I miss my Wii
"Satoru iwata"

take me back..
To the things that will never be as they once were.
You will be missed.
Incredible
This place can be a new checkpoint of internet. This music is so good and relaxing, that help me to relax myself. And I'm pretty sure that everyone can agree on it.
Continue on your hard journey traveler. Some day it will be rough and other time sweet. But in the end you'll have a great gift. Don't give up now and go on. I'm maybe a stranger on the internet. But I hope that my few words can help at least 1 person. Keep this beautiful smile on your beautiful face and keep going. One day everything will be easier for you. Don't focus on the problem but on how to solve it. Often the answer is hard and painfull. But you have to do it. That's the only way to keep going forward. Love you young traveler. Keep going and never give up.
A good chef never resists
I want this played at my wedding
So beautiful💕
One day they flew down to the girl's home planet. And the girl, who wasn't exactly a girl anymore, met a plumber who needed her help saving the Kingdom he lived in. Their princess had been taken by an evil Koopa. So she took him across the galaxy to find this princess and he saved her. Then something horrible happened. He was captured by the evil Koopa and she had to fight in races to get him back. She won the races and her and the plumber took out the evil Koopa. With the help of various others. The girl married the plumber under the stars in front of family and friends.
This song makes me happy, and want to cry
ooh aah im getting eepy weepy...
this is the song you curl up and cry to if you're a early 2010's kid
now imagine if this was the main theme of Mario Galaxy instead..
Say this as I’m about to go to bed. This might be actually a good lullaby for a young one.
I listen to this instead of watching the ending because I can’t stop crying everytime I do see it.
Awww this song is so cute that I wanna cry i swear to god this song is so cute😫😍
Who else is here after Charles Martinet retired?
I can’t listen to this without crying.
Just seeing the cheerful expression on Luma’s face, makes me thrilled. Nintendo put their heart into these soundtracks, and we can see that now. The wonderfully soft chimes paired with the outlandishly amazing simplicity of the setting can draw tears to any’s eyes. Truly a beautiful piece.
I feel an emotional attachment to this song
Can't hold back the tears!😢
Good Times playing this game in 2008 at my grandparents house when I was a teenager
I love my grandmother, but I know she will be gone one day, and when that happens, I think this song will play in my head.
the song that plays when nintendo stops making mario games:
i have cried

What a beautiful music i listen when I’m sick 🤒or tired 🥱

I cry on a song...
Thanks for be my friend. Thanks for existing, thanks because you are a little star that shines up above, destined to shine forever
Oh how my 7 year old gut wrenched as they all flew into the black hole.
Doesn’t this theme kind of sound like grandma’s theme from Wind Waker?
I play Rosalina song (Rosalina’s book is luma song) :)
This sounds like that one part of YouSeeBIGGIRL T:T from AoT but calmer
Sht‘s making me sad af

Zzzzzzzzz 😴
It is fucking undertale style
Luigi: "Mario, I'm gonna push the button."
Mario: "Waaah! Luigi? No...
Luigi: "Ooooh, I know. But if my brother gets to live, then o... ok."
Mario: *crying* "Wait! Don't you dare! Mario can figure this out!"
Luigi: "Tell the others I'll miss them, and tell Daisy I love her!"
Mario: "LUIGI NOOOOOOOO!" *sobs loudly*
Luigi: "Mario! Thanks! Sorry... "*pushes the button and falls to his death*
Mario: "LUIGIIIIIIII!"
Mario dies
U R MR GAY
Sounds a bit like 'When you wish upon a star' from the original 1940 Pinocchio.
Nostalgia overload
The fact that this theme snuck itself into the movie is amazing
Where?
@@traviscunningham7062 in the song "Practice Makes Perfect" from the movie's soundtrack, they used it but without the main melody. It appears at exactly 0:15
