Boat Cup Holders Installation Yeti Sized

- In this video I install larger cup holders that will hold my wife’s and Daughter’s beloved Yeti cups! Plus they have a bunch of other nice benefits. Whatever you put in them sits lower and more securely. Holds a cell phone. Looks great and fits in the same spot. The trick was enlarging the hole without chipping or scratching the surrounding area. I cut a wood templet that my daughter and her boyfriend helped me hold down over the existing hole that did the trick. Running the hole saw backwards helps insure it won’t jump. This was an easy project and a nice upgrade. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you like the video. I post new completely random videos all the time!
I got these at www.marinetradingpost.com. You may have to call, they don’t show on their website. They would not tell me the supplier. If you find out who makes these please leave it the comments! - Навчання та стиль
Next time, whole saw size for old cup holder would have had enough room to screw in under new size come holder as a guide 😉
Great tip! Thank you
FYI, there is enough exposed thread inside the hole saw to put another hole saw inside the one you want to actually cut with. This effectively turns the smaller hole saw into a pilot bit. ex: If you want to cut a 3" hole, but there is already a 2" hole there, thread a 2" hole saw inside the 3" hole saw and the hole will be perfectly centered.
That is a brilliant idea. Thank you very much I never ever would’ve thought of that.
Got damn, these are monster cup holders. Imma get a few. Looks kinda pita for install, but worth it. All it's missing is LED! Checked prices, $35 each? Eff that. Wow
Thanks!!
Great video…. Thanks for sharing captain‼️
Thanks!
Use 4 1/4" Hole Saw
Thanks!
Great Job. What size circular cutter did you use?
Thanks. I think that’s a 5”
Adhesive type??
Just silicone. I use the 3M mildew resistant silicone from West Marine
I know an easier way… screw the exact size hole saw of the smaller hole inside the bigger one
Smart! I’ve seen that. Thanks, didn’t even think of it
