I am absolutely the same way! I want everything spotless, floors clean, laundry done, refrigerator cleaned out, bathroom clean with fresh towels, nothing in the sink, etc., especially when leaving for vacation.

For sure I love leaving my house clean. It is SO SO nice to come home to a clean house. Even when my kids were little I did it.

I love that you reminded everyone that it's okay to be different than others in our own house and to do what's best for us. Nobody should judge others. Your right about having things clean. It always makes me feel better. I’m in the process of getting rid a lot of stuff.
I have incorporated a "SWEEP" everyday I immediately get home from work. I start in the laundry room and put away if I have one load to empty or start, then clear off any surface and floor, and then empty dishwasher. This typically takes me 10 (no laundry or dishes) to 40 minutes (with both laundry and dishes) with a 5,500 sq ft house. Then on the weekends I work on deeper cleaning. I do it every single day so my house always is clutter free making it look clean. I grew up in a hoarders house, two of my sisters took that mental path of hoarding, and I went the other way. This helps with my anxiety and mental health as life is tough enough!

I absolutely clean before I leave for vacay. I want to come home and only have to wash clothes and settle back in. I don’t like the stress of a dirty house.
Your videos give me that inspiration to declutter and reorganize (I love organizing!) and clean up my house to take out the “crazy”. The past two days was building shelves in the closet in my office and then organizing it all. I got rid of so much stuff and I took out some of the color. Seeing just a white theme in the things I use has really made me feel less chaotic. And everything is off my desk except for my computer, my desk calendar and my lamp. It is SO nice!

I am one of 4 children and there are now 11 grandchildren and we are the hosting house too. I LOVE LOVE having everyone here. Recently we hosted a surprise 60th party at my house for my sister and all the grandchildren stayed at my house the night before and prepared all the food. Like you said I didn’t care if they went into all my cabinets in the kitchen and I knew that when they left I could get my house “back in order” easily.

Thank you for the actual cleaning video. Lately you have been doing more other things (organizing, products, house building,ect.), I really enjoy the cleaning ones more since thats what the name implies. It was great to hear you remind all to be kind to ourselves because we have different gifts.

I had to keep house when I was growing up, so out of rebellion, I suppose, I wasn't a very good housekeeper throughout my 20's & 30's. For the past 15 years or so, our family has faced some pretty tough challenges. At times, I was simply too tired and depressed to keep up with my chores, and my house fell into the abyss of my angst. Honestly, it wasn't until I started watching cleaning videos that I re-kindled my love for a clean and tidy house. Now, I'm not ashamed to admit I'm slightly addicted to cleaning products! I clean quite a lot now, especially since we just moved. Might even start my own channel! Thanks for the inspo--I got my JAWS system using your code!

I don’t love cooking either and it’s because I prefer to clean and to keep my house clean. Although I’m falling behind on cleaning these days and it’s the overwhelm of a new house - no structure or systems in place yet. Swifter dusters, while wasteful, are AMAZING! I learned about how efficient they are when working at a library and it would not leave dust behind when dusting the back of computers and wires. We have 10’ ceilings in their house and the same baseboards as you so, I’m exchanging my broom for a swifter extension. Anyway, this really was a realistic motivation clean. Thanks!

Hi Ashley. I’m totally in agreement with cleaning and tidying up before leaving the house, even if it’s just for a quick errand and even more so for a weekend away or an extended vacation. Ashley I do that too I clean my house everyday, people come over they said Nellie your home is so clean there's nothing for you to do! That is the whole idea and when I leave my home to go down and stay with my kids we live 3 hours away I always clean my home and everything put away I have always been like that I clean everyday! Even when my kids were small my family would come over and said we can't even tell you have kids, and that's what I like it I never go to bed without everything done and put away! I am exactly the same. I have to leave the house clean and organised before I leave on my holidays. It would stress me as well as I would just see the mess I left the house in and it would spoil my holiday. I spend the day before my holiday cleaning, washing clothes and putting clean sheets on the bed for our return.

I so appreciate your videos and lived that you stressed the differences in each of us. Even at almost 60 I feel like I should be good at everything! I hate to feel like a failure. I also don't cook much and although my house looks spotless it isn't always. God did gift each of us with our individuality but that Proverbs 31 woman can stress me out. 😅. Keep up the good work. I’m like you my house is pretty much always cleaned and organized. If my house is chaotic I feel my mind is chaotic. But with that said I think sometimes I make people feel uncomfortable and I have to defend myself a lot. I also love to clean and hate to cook!

Good on you Ashley. You enjoy your beautiful home. ❤. I am in a very busy time of life so my house isn't look as good as I would like but I'm learning to be ok with that and when time permits I will get it in to a glorious home mode 😊
That is totally normal and fine if you have to move slow on the house because of daily responsibilities. Take it day by day, step by step and when time permits you can tackle small areas. Thanks for watching and hope you have a great week!

I am so much h like you in the way we clean!!! I have to dust and vacuum. Y ho.e every day before I leave to go to work!! But once a week I clean throughly by Moving furniture and so forth!!! I have a cat and I am chasing hair all the time! Could you do a video o how you maintain and clean your vacuums? Thanks Ashley!!!
