In light of your recent comments, I do hope more videos like this get audience attention - I like many others joined for the Beatles reactions but I (along with many others again!) have really come to enjoy all your content :) Don't feel down if your Beatles vids do better, the fact that your non-Beatles vids are still getting more views than, say, a few months ago, is proof if any were needed that a lot of us are here for YOU :)
yes, Geoff Marshall and Tom Scott are always shocked at which videos go viral and which do poorly, and how effort has nothing to do with success. There's a lot to be said for not chasing the algorithm
Looks like a deep dive into their catalogue is in order. The problem with how we listen to music today is that we tend not to listen to the original albums, which is the original context for the songs. Which is why your Beatles reactions have been soooo fabulous.
I really reccomend going through their whole catalogue sometime. They have so many great songs not included in ABBA gold which is where most people know ABBA outside of their main hits (or just Dancing Queen if you're in the states) Hole in your soul is one lf my favs. Their live version of this and does your mother know just before it live at wembley is just a magic two sequences of live performance
I agree, and if you would like to discover more of Björn & Benny’s beautiful music, you might want to listen to some of their non-ABBA work, like their songs from musicals. Some of my favourites are sung by actress Sofia Pekkari (you’ll find them on Spotify, in Swedish, but you might enjoy them even if you don’t understand the lyrics), from the musical “Hjälp sökes” (‘Help wanted’). Listen to the top three ones. Those could have been ABBA ballads.
I recently watched a video showing the top song from each month in the 1970s. I was amazed to see how many songs were by Abba. I had forgotten about a lot of the Abba songs and how good they are.
I’m one of your Beatles fans, so give you (and ABBA) benefit of doubt. But can’t help think this result could hardly be the same if the subject were the Beatles catalog, each song being iconic, unique, memorable, and instantly part of one’s fiber.
Yeah, I loved Abba gold but about a month ago, I listened to all of their albums and their were tons of songs I didn’t know and are now some of my favorites.
Love Abba so so much!! Haha Glad to see your a fan. Songs like “The Winner Takes It All” and “Chiquitita” literally make me cry. If you haven’t heard it, should definitely check out Abba “Live at Wembley Arena” in 1979. Such a great concert!
I got two. I didn't expect to do very well because I really only know the US hits, but two is pretty sad. You had a MONSTER six out of ten, so...I think that earned you a part 2. 🙂
Don't feel bad ;-) As a true ABBA fan who already was a fan back in the late 70s I also got (only) 7 right. And you didn't know the ones that are excuseable...... And to add to the other comment of one guy here: Do more of such videos with other bands, beside the Beatles. As someone who discovered myself the whole music history of the 60s and 70s after it happenend, this is fun to watch someone doing it all again.
I only got three. Can't believe I missed Dum Dum Diddle; ABBA and Arrival are two albums I've listened to multiple times. Guess I'll have to have an ABBA marathon this weekend.
It's nice to see you got to the "Take a chance on me" tier, because I'm sure I was not the only one enjoying the struggle of taking the quizz XD. Hope there is a part two or more music based quizzes :P.
I had only ever even heard of two of those songs, and yes, ABBA were not as popular in the U.S. as they were elsewhere, but I was around in the '70s, and I'd hoped to have gotten at least a few more than I did.
Ha ha. Classic Cazza! Abba was huge when I was a little kid, but I'm not really familiar with most of their stuff - you did way better than me! I hope you do Part 2, and also react to some Abba songs you don't know.
I used to consider myself a rabid The Smiths and Morrissey fan. Until I took a similar test and realized, oh boy, was I just a newbie lol. Great video Caroline
That was a lot of fun! Loved your genuine frustration at not knowing some of them. (I sympathise...) Great Video! I did worse than you, (King Kong Song!?) So don't worry. Look forward to part 2. If you do the same with the Beatles songs, your ratings will go through the roof.. (Be Warned!)
I got not one right! / Ok, this is what I learned: you should do the ABBA discography! Because obviously there are some tunes you missed over the years, so it will be a joy to watch you discover ABBA songs you haven't heard before, plus you may take some of us along with you, who don't know ABBA so thoroughly, so we can discover them together! It doesn't mean you don't react to other artists, or The Beatles or whatever else you want to react to. But definitely, as an ABBA fan, you should know their discography like we know the Fabs! And you may get a whole bunch of new subscribers because of it (ABBA obviously was commercially successful!). Just an idea!
Don't sweat it, Caroline .. There are so many ABBA songs that would only be known to those fans who play all their albums right through on at least a semi-regular basis .. Most of the ones you missed were early album deep-cuts .. I've just been on an ABBA binge and played just about everything they did .. and I still missed a couple ! 😉😅 .. ( PS - Yes, "When I Kissed The Teacher" is SOOOOO good ! )
They have some beautifully crafted songs but I’m not big fan of ABBA’s I do I love Eagle and a few others. This was enjoyable Caroline I’m happy to see you do a part 2. Have a great day & weekend
No worries! I think you did well. I got the same score and consider myself a true ABBA fan ever since I saw them live as a kid before they began calling themselves ABBA. I think it was 1972. May I suggest you make video listening to the ABBA song ”I ´m still alive” written by Agnetha. That’s an odd but great song only performed live by ABBA.
The only one i missed was King Kong Song, but being danish, neighboring country to Sweden and having worked in Sweden, and even being lucky enough to have met and talked with Agnetha Fältskog, i have the advantage🙂 those girls can really sing and Bjorn&Benny are great songwriters. Lennon in an interview named SOS as one of his favourite songs. They were big Beatles fans, there are some pics of Benny in a bar, when he heard Lennon had been shot, he walked up to the piano there, and spent the rest of the night drinking and playing Beatles and Lennon songs. I really enjoy your channel, being about The Beatles or not🙂 A bit of trivia for you, Disillusion was the only song Agnetha wrote for ABBA, she was a star in her own right before ABBA, having written several songs that reached number one in the 3 Nordic countries. The others did encourage her to write more for ABBA, but she said later that she always felt to insecure to try to match their songs.
6/10 for me too, Caroline. I’m not a big fan, but the family owned some albums. When you’ve listened to all the Beatle tracks, you could try the 15 song test the piano guy put on YT. I got 14/15. The challenge is handed to you.
Great video Caroline. I think a deep dive on the back catalogue is needed when you’ve finished the Beatles. Handily the latest versions of the albums all have the associated B sides etc on them. Thank you!
You may have to do ABBA album reactions after your Tour de Beatles? This video made me want to listen to the deep cuts because I don't know as many as I thought either!
I actually missed the same songs you did... even though I recognized the first one (Disillusion) and knew that it was from their first album (just couldn't think of the name). This was really fun and I'd really like a part two! Maybe the next project after The Beatles could be diving in to the Abba-catalouge? 😊
I don't admit to being a fan, but I do like a lot of what they did, just to make you feel better I got 2 haha! Most of those tunes were obscure to me, so I think you did very well. Yes let's have a part 2 :)
At one point I had all the ABBA Albums, I had seen them in concert twice and I saw "ABBA: The Movie" in the cinema when it came out - yet I still did not know the first two songs in the quiz or The King Kong Song. I didn't even recognise the titles when they came up.
Aw man I only got the same as you. It's true what you say though, that you can love something without knowing everything about it. ABBA has brought me so much joy over the years but I think I can forgive myself for not knowing King Kong Song by heart... xD
9 out of 10. Disillusion I knew existed but didn't recognize. I have the album Waterloo and ABBA, and my brother had The Very Best of ABBA, so we knew all the intriguing early songs like Sitting in a palmtree, My mamma said, Suzy Hang Around etc. As well as steamy ones like Honey, honey and So long. But last year I viewed some YT-videos with songs I never heard before.
LOL, I only guessed Money Money Money. I guess I am only familiar with the ABBA songs that were played on the radio here in the U.S.A. I was about 8 yrs. old when "Waterloo" made its debut.
I’ve always enjoyed these song guess quizzes, and I usually do well if it’s a band/group/artist I am a big fan of. Haven’t heard too much ABBA though so can’t really participate here. Good video though 👍
I'm a great ABBA fan and I got some of them wrong. To be fair, some of them are hidden gems that people don't really listen to very often (like Disillusion which was the only song that Agnetha wrote while being part of ABBA, or Dum Dum Diddle). You should do more videos listening to ABBA!
I wonder if you'd get 10 out of 10 Beatle songs when you've finished going through their catalog; in other words, are their songs imprinting themselves in your memory...?
That was unfortunate, a couple of "B" sides in there, especially King Kong Song which I think they even regret recording. They'll probably throw in "Me and Bobby, Bobby's Brother" next from their first album. So guess what, when you are finished with the Beatles, your home work is the 8 ABBA albums you haven't reviewed. Do part 2 please it's so much fun to watch! LOL
You definitely knew more than me! I definitely know some abba, but I get the feeling they’re a little bit like the Beatles: only hardcore fans actually know how big their catalog is.
Call Me Caroline I got two songs right. I only know the top 20 hit's album. We didn't get the lesser songs or the b sides over here in the states. Caroline please look up SOS by DImash Kudiabergen, he is currently the top vocalist in the world. Also I want you to listen to "If you could read my mind" by Gordon Lightfoot, early 70s and it is so well composed, you will love the subtle cello supporting the vocals.... with just ONE note! Loveyoubunches.
I got all but the first one. Some great songs that are not on Abba Gold and More Abba Gold are "Move On" "Andante Andante" "The Piper" "I Let the Music Speak" "One Man One Woman" "Hey Hey Helen" "Arrival"
It was really nice! I knew only three of them (Gimme, money and when I kissed the teacher), but it's good for me because my favorite song from ABBA surely is SOS XD I'm looking forward part two!
I made it with you, Caroline!!! 1. Dissilution / 2. Under Attack / 3.Hole in Your Soul / 4. When I Kissed The Teacher / 5. Gimme Gimme Gimme / 6. Dum Dum Diddle / 7. One of Us / 8. King Kong Song / 9. Money Money Money / 10. The Day Before You Came!!! I win!!! It wound be so great you react to all the ABBA albums (there are only 9, ansd some singles), as you are doing with The Beatles!!! Saludos desde Argentina!!!
I love ABBA too!!! And I'm begging you for own good, watch "Why Did It Have To Be Me" live in Australia... Talk about sad lyrics with an upbeat melody. It is so good and its in HD on You Tube. Every ABBA fan should watch this wonderfully fun performance😀😀😀
Listen to more ABBA songs and do a part two, please. I got Dum Dum Diddle and King Kong Song, but not Disillusion. Have you listened to Simon and Garfunkel albums? You might listen them after hearing the Beatles songs, just a suggestion.
Hey Cazza 🙂 I got most of the songs you didn't, and vice versa - so I finished with 5 - I didn't follow their later albums where it would appear you would be stronger with their later material - Perhaps there may be a first listen video of their earlier albums?? I have a feeling "Disillusion" was written by Agnetha?? Really enjoy your content - Cheers
It'd be cool if you'd analyze some ABBA or go over some tracks you're unfamiliar with. As much as people do praise ABBA and, or at least call them a guilty pleasure, I really don't think people give them the credit they deserve for their songwriting, composition, arrangements, and production. If I could suggest some, here are some of my favorites you may or may not have heard that I think deserve more attention: Rock'n Roll Band, My Mama Said, Intermezzo No. 1, That's Me, Arrival, As Good As New, Head Over Heels, and Two For the Price of One.
You need to check out Abba's "Ring, Ring" Album Caroline. It contains "Disillusion"; and was the groups first album as `ABBA` I have an original Swedish first pressing of it, on the dark blue `Polar` label. Gives an insight into how their early sound developed. "King Kong Song" was on their next album "Waterloo".
4/10. Yikes! And I thought I was a fan :( Anywho, if this were a Led Zeppelin/Beatles/Heart/Queen/David Bowie/Rolling Stones quiz, I'd *hopefully* get a 10/10
For all those ABBA fans who have lived on just the ABBA Gold compilation album and the "Mamma Mia" musical, do yourself a favor and listen to all their albums and singles. Lots of wonderful deep cuts for you to find, including Disillusion, which is one of my favorite tracks on the first album, "Ring Ring". =)
I have Abba on the original vinyl. Rarest are, the original "Ring- Ring" LP, the 1973 Swedish release on the darker blue Polar label. Also the original "Ring Ring" single which was Cat no 1793. They remade it (Adding brass) and re-released it after the success of `Waterloo` Cat No 2452, which is more common. UK single `So Long` is a rarity now. Never bothered with the 1974 Eurovision E.P in which Abba are one of four acts on. It is `very` rare though! All UK singles & Albums on the `Epic` label. Got a Canadian `Lay all your love on me` as it Seven inch and only UK release was 12 inch which I never liked as a format for a single.
I did terribly. May be time to explore Abba album by album after The Beatles! Are you familiar with the musical Chess, co-wriiten by Benny and Bjorn? Mess of a show, but some good music.
I have to admit I spent my American youth in the mid to late 70s avoiding ABBA. I was listening to New Wave bands like Television, Boomtown Rats, Modern English, Psychedelic Furs....so I got a big fat 0 . Love your stuff anyhow...
The King Kong Song is infamous. Most certainly it isn't one that is up there with Dancing Queen...nor even Two for the price of one....but it is so incredibly bad one needs to acknowledge it's existence and learn it by heart and sing it with gay abandon. There are many similar non-gems from the early years, such as "I am just a girl" (with back up vocals by the guys!?) and the odd 'Me and Bobby and Bobby's brother".... (read into that what you will..). So much fun.
I got 0/10, so don't feel bad, Caroline. I enjoyed watching you play, though. Nobody's going to revoke your fan club membership 'cause you did really well.
A large number of these 10 songs were not hits in the United States, and many of them were not singles anywhere. I thought I would have done better, but I didn't do as well as you. This was actually an unusually hard quiz for an online test. Usually they're designed to make you feel good about yourself. Now, give me a test like this for the Beatles, I will ace it.
I love ABBA but I have to be honest I didn’t do well on that quiz. I guess I’m a Greatest Hits kind of fan lol. Definitely do part 2. I’ll be interested to see if I do any better on that one

I sat down to listen your Beatles reaction. I'm now staying for your bright shiny smile... Yaaaaaaaaaay!
As someone who "likes Abba", this video revealed just how much I don't know. 😅 A classic case of the Dunning-Kruger effect.
Yeah, I loved Abba gold but about a month ago, I listened to all of their albums and their were tons of songs I didn’t know and are now some of my favorites.
Your channel is so much fun! Keep ‘em coming!!
that was exciting to watch on a boiling hot day!! awesome challenge pt2 for sure
Thanks Tusi! I’ll need to study before the next one 🤣
Love Abba so so much!! Haha
Glad to see your a fan. Songs like “The Winner Takes It All” and “Chiquitita” literally make me cry. If you haven’t heard it, should definitely check out Abba “Live at Wembley Arena” in 1979. Such a great concert!
I only knew some of them just like you Caroline. I love ABBA so much! Yes do a part two
I got two. I didn't expect to do very well because I really only know the US hits, but two is pretty sad. You had a MONSTER six out of ten, so...I think that earned you a part 2. 🙂
Oh wow, I thought I knew ABBA songs too! Fun video! Love all your content. Came for the Beatles and stayed for everything! Keep up the great work! 💙

Has identity crisis, discovers entire new avenue of CONTENT!!!!

Great video! It was fun to play along! I definitely vote for part 2, thanks!
Love all your vids, Caroline. Thanks!
You probably know the Beatles catalogue better after the months of great analysis you have put in! 😉
Ha ha. Classic Cazza! Abba was huge when I was a little kid, but I'm not really familiar with most of their stuff - you did way better than me! I hope you do Part 2, and also react to some Abba songs you don't know.

That was hard with the obscure tracks. I bought a complete boxset to get to know the other songs - So many! Part 2 please!
Lock it in Eddie - showing your Aus roots! Needed to phone a friend at times.
I got not one right! / Ok, this is what I learned: you should do the ABBA discography! I enjoy Abba music and know many songs but of the 10 mentioned I only got 1 right. Please do another name that tune video!
Oh God you're so cute you had me laughing all the way 🤩❤🤣
I got 3!! Woot!! Wow. I should do an album by album listen like you're doing with The Beatles. Do part 2!!
Hi Caroline. I love your videos. When will you finish doing the Beatles videos?
I'm a great ABBA fan and I got some of them wrong. To be fair, some of them are hidden gems that people don't really listen to very often (like Disillusion which was the only song that Agnetha wrote while being part of ABBA, or Dum Dum Diddle). You should do more videos listening to ABBA!
It’s the breakdown for me
Ha! A perfect 0! Now I can sleep tonight ...
I wonder if you'd get 10 out of 10 Beatle songs when you've finished going through their catalog; in other words, are their songs imprinting themselves in your memory...?

I missed on eight. Oh, my goodness, how will I ever get to sleep tonight. (Smirks) Without much trouble i'm guessing !!!
You did fine! I’ll take a chance on you taking another quiz!
Yes. We”ll take a chance on you and a part 2. Doesn’t matter how well you do on the quiz either, it’s still a win for us.
Arrival and ABBA The Album are classic albums.
Disillusion is an earlier song written by Agnetha, nice ballad.
Disillusion and King Kong Song are definitely some of their worst, so not a huge loss to not know them.
You did better than me and I am a super ABBA fan. I could sing them, but the titles slipped away from my brain.
I consider myself an ABBA fan but I only got 2 out of these guess their biggest hits I only know lol.
Yeah, what about a Beatles one?
I really enjoyed girl!( i got 10out of10 btw).
I WIN! I got them all! 😏 When you get done reviewing Beatles albums you should review ABBA albums.
If you don't continue on with the Beatles into McCartney's Wings and solo albums, you should definitely consider doing the complete ABBA catalogue.
More like this!
YOU need to do a review of ABBA the Album. It has hole in your soul on it. It is the Best Album they ever did and the most complex.
I own all of their LP’s but only knew half of these songs… maybe I should give those albums another listen 😅
🤣
Part 2 and if you don't do well, you may to do Abba full catalog review 😀
I've got 7 - the same 6 you've recognized plus the King Kong Song :)
I love ABBA but I have to be honest I didn’t do well on that quiz. I guess I’m a Greatest Hits kind of fan lol. Definitely do part 2. I’ll be interested to see if I do any better on that one
I think we sit in the same boat haha
I consider myself a big abba fan too and I didn't know will of them either :)
I almost got one so I thought you did pretty well looking forward to part two now go study
1/10 (💲💰💲, almost was a Waterloo lol) 🎶🎶🎶👏👏👏👌👌👌
🤣
Well, I got all of those... that were on Abba Gold. Yeah - got 6/10 too. That was tough.
Hey Caroline,great video.
Have you removed your review of Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane?
Keep up the good work.
