What's missing from the discussion is GRACE. We gotta be on the same side to create healthy families and a healthy community. If the issue is toxicity, a lot of us (men and women), are just doing our best but if we love each other, we have to be willing to listen and try to understand where the other person is coming from. It was really hard to grow up and learn that I had a really good woman in my life. Made a lot of mistake but she stood by me and I give her the world. Trust shit get annoying at time but nothing becomes before her. She will never go 50/50 with me. I make sure she good. She can spend her money on herself and take care of the house. I watched my dad take care of his family at all cost most people don’t get to see that fr.
Listen if someone is toxic and needs healing then you shouldn’t be in a relationship (man or woman). You must absolutely choose yourself in a relationship, not saying you can’t support your partner when they may be going through somethings, but not at the cost of your own happiness. We all know when the airplane goes down you have to put your mask on first before you decide to help others. That’s why we must heal ourselves and not expect someone to do it for us because then we hold others to a standard that it’s not fair and not true to themselves. Please go find yourself and know what you want and to be already happy and grateful that’s when we attract the love and happiness from people whose already is, that way you can learn each other authentically, and save yourself from a lot of heart break. We trend to attract the things we don’t want in a partner because we haven’t done the homework of healing ourselves and trauma is different for everyone that’s why we must do the work ourselves!
