The most beautiful automobile Chevrolet EVER designed!!!

I grew up around a '59 Chevrolet exactly like the one in this advertisement, wonderful reminiscent of family outings come to mind, learning to drive behind the wheel on my uncle's knee, a huge interior in comparison to today's automobiles, one could lay down on the back seat, stretching out without touching ethier side of the car's interior, looking up wards, and see all the street lights and trees through side and rear view windows , as we drove heading back, after a long day, for home.
    Ciao/Cheers!
    P.S.
They might have left that '59 Chevrolet in Paris, after making the advertisement, as I recall I remember seeing one, just like it, there in '69, it stood out amongst those compact European automobiles.

"So unmistakably modern in every lovely line." I like the pattern in the upholstery for the headliner and sun visors.

I don't know where to begin.
Lovely distinctive car. The weird taillamps would be in style now.
That monster will barely fit in a tiny European side street.
Saw a Citroen, Renault dauphin and a beautiful boxy borgward.
Don't crash it into anything the whole car will fly apart. Test it against a French car.
That happy fifties music is prevalent in spots of the time.
    Power windows?
    Reminds one of gene Kelly.
    Well done promotional.piece.

I wonder how many of the people on here calling the '59 Chevy ugly drive one of those black or grey SUVs that "beautify" our world so decisively today....

Two critics: Was necesary that Impala no driver inside? Maybe a couple knowing Paris.
Why Paris? Chevrolet Impala as an American car was not for sale in France. I think advertising nust to have criterial view. Fantasy, but with logic.

A Citroën DS would be more impressive than a Chevrolet, even the 1959 Impala.

One of the ugliest cars ever made. Wish Chevy would have just upgraded or refined the 1958 model. At least they improved this sickly looking thing for 1960.

The front end was homely. The back end was hideous. The front window pillars on the '59 and '60 GM's were goofy looking also.

I used to think it was ugly. Until I thought about what was going on back then (I wasn’t born yet, not even close). It was the Space Race. SciFi at its peak. It really is supposed to look kind of like a space ship. I appreciate it more thinking that they were going for a wild, SciFi look.

Ah, the origins of the ugly American trope. These cars were hideous unlike the ones coming a few years later.
