- Will was an active young man. He had just finished 6th grade and was attending summer camp when he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and fell into a coma. His family gathered 'round the hospital bed to wonder if they'd ever get to say goodbye. The doctor came into the room and commanded Will to raise his finger to show if he was still able to respond. This is his story.
Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke are often underdiagnosed and can affect anyone at any time. Through research, we are fighting to raise awareness and discover new ways to prevent and lessen the impact of stroke, and to help survivors through their recovery journey.

Thanks for sharing your story, my daughter is 20 and she has almost the same story only the stroke happened after the brain intervention and she lost the control of her right side of the body , 4 frustrating months has passed she is walking with a limp and speaks with a lisp and being a bilingual she has a hard time speaking both languages, but she is fighting so hard . Just wanted to let you know you are not alone, bless you

I also had hemorrhagic stroke due to brain AVM 10 years ago. Up until now can't move my left arm and can't walk properly. Continue to pray and exercise. In God's grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus we're be able to see Jesus Christ 's miracle in everyday living. You're not alone. 🙏🏽☝️🇭🇲
