People forget that he bullied Little Mo’s poor baby (May 2006 was a brutal month because of that idiot) and Stella for the longest time before Stella raised so much as a warm teaspoon to him. He’s not a character who’s ever been supposed to be seen in a sympathetic light in any incarnation, not really. The closest was with this story but even so I have a lot more time for Stella. I wish people would stop defending that twerp.

Then this random woman comes into his life and has all his dad's attention. So, yeah he pulled a dangerous stunt, but he was a child he didn't understand the magnitude of that decision at that age. Stella however is different. She knew very well what she was doing and knew she could mentally dominate a child. Some people are unhinged acting like Ben deserved it

Maybe Ben turned out the way he did because of the abuse
Ben was a naughty child that needed a bit more guidance early on, he was not evil. Instead he got an abusive step parent.That was the contributing factor to how he turned out. If Phil was a bit more vigilant when Ben was younger he could have been different. Those were his crucial development years and he already has some instability by losing a mother at a young age. Stella just pushed him further into darkness.

She was too young at this point to have a definitive accent of any kind, really (in England only Scouse and Manc. accents break through that strongly before the teenage years). I wouldn’t necessarily say she sounded like she was from Plymouth or Dorset. She just sounded like a normal girl.
