Got to say that this is by FAR the nicest garage door opener Ive ever installed. Its super quiet , easy to program and works flawless. Dont buy anything else but a Chamberlain. The features are amazing and it comes with everything you need.

Great vid Omar. I had a really nice craftsman opener very similar to this aside from the wifi and temperature reading in my last house & loved the quiet belt drive. I've debated changing the one in my current house but hope to move again soon so depending on what the new place has this may be in my future. Thanks for sharing.

That's funny I just had that installed a few weeks ago! It's super quiet and door makes more noise than the actual unit, my previous 11 year old opener sounded like a pig was dying inside of it. Good job.

Good video and I love the garage door opener. The biggest pain is when your WiFi network changes its extremely difficult to link up again. I’ve been trying the directions I find online and none of them worked for me. Going on two months without it being linked up. Very irritated
Have you figured out how to link your new wifi to your opener? Is there not a reset button?
So it does not use your home wifi network. I'm using the myq device. It's a separate devise plugged into an outlet. And it really is spotty with wifi. Big problem with most that have it. I'd be al in on this opener if it does not rely on home wifi. How is the built In wifi work?
Just had mine professionally installed yesterday, the belt on yours seems to be too loose just thought I'd let you know. Agree it's a great garage door opener !

Omar. Thanks for the video. There is confusion as to whether you need the Chamberlain home gateway (MyQ Internet Gateway) to just use the iPhone remote feature. Do you need to purchase the extra device that hooks up to the internet router in order to use this feature?

I had one installed and I can’t get the WiFi setup. I tried three times and it won’t setup. Also the green light flashes consistently. Any suggestions?
I had a Liftmaster with MyQ installed last year and the guy never mentioned that MyQ can connect to your phone. I just thought it meant it would work with a car's homelink.

Can you set up mutilple phones to operate garage door? If so doesn't it erase each time?
No it doesn't erase each time. Both my wife and I can control the garage door with our phones.
Does this make audible noised when opened with the app? Kind of defeated the purpose of a quiet drive if so.

It does only if it is triggered remotely or on auto close. Then the audible is a mere safety issue.
Why is the wire taped to the bottom of the unit???

I do love this garage door, however it has been knocked offline twice in the last month. The first time, I just punched a few buttons (do not recall which ones but it was pretty easy) and it reconnected. Two weeks later, it is offline again and I cannot connect to save my life. I have looked it up in the manual and searched online for the solutions. By any chance, do you know how to fix it? This may be a great topic for your next video.

Hey love this garage door opener it's so quiet . . I just moved into my new home and it has this garage door opener . . Now my issue is how do I program it so my car will open it? I have the 3 little buttons in my car to program to a door . . I have tried to program it and it will not program . . Please help thank you
You need to follow the instructions of your vehicle to do this. I haven't had any luck with my car either though

Can you open or close the garage door from the web using MyQ on a desktop?
I wasn't aware that there was a desktop version, but I would imagine that would be the one thing that it could do
I wonder how long the belt will last, especially when comparing to automotive belts. There's a reason why timing chains are so popular.
Probably much longer than a timing belt since this belt isn't under as much tension and stress as one that is attached to an engine.
I've seen garage door openers last 20+ years, so it's the deterioration of the rubber over time I'm worried about. Finding a replacement belt could be problematic 10+ years later, when all the current models become obsolete.
could buy a replacement one now and just store it in a safe place for the next decade.
They usually have a "lifetime" warranty on the belts

They don't tell you upfront that if you want to integrate this into your existing automation that you have to be a paid subscriber unlike every other manufacturer of smart home devices.
Do you mean like with Homekit? I used mine with homekit and I've never paid for any subscription.
@@omarcorrea I tried to use it with Google home. Word is you can shut it but not allowed to open from Google and a subscription is required, there was a notice when I started the process.

It's great... Except for that extremely loud beeping sound when using the myq app when closing... I understand it's for safety but it's way too loud..

The opener has wifi. Chamberlain is dumb not being able to update the opener clock automatically.
I have a Chamberlain wireless garage door opener. Mine worked great for the first year - now it opens and closes all by itself; all day and night long. I have had to unplug it; called a repair service and they say they cannot fix it because it's a signal problem, and they didn't install it so they aren't able to fix it; they say the problem is with wi fy and not in the unit itself. The original company that installed it 2 years ago is no longer around..... UGGGH!!! Now what?
Have you reached out to Chamerlain support?
You can try clearing out the system. Hold down the learn code button until the little led goes out. That will clear all the remotes & keypad from the memory and then reprogram all of them from scratch. Sometimes this works. A neighbors might be on the same signal

@@texas2far I meant discussing the part about the app, not the Homelink. If I'm being 100% honest with you, I never even got Homelink to work on my vehicle. I just use the app and Siri to open the garage.

That is not true, it comes with everything included as Omar suggested. It depends on the model you purchased that may need additional parts to work via Wifi. I have the WD1000WF which seems to be now be the B970.
