We hope that the new year has been treating you well so far and that you're as excited as we are to kick off this second season of the podcast. Here at Fratello HQ, we decided to tackle the new year head-on, discussing our watch wishes and making predictions for what we'll see over the coming 12 months. You join your host Nacho alongside Morgan and Lex, who voice their expectations and wishes for the new year. From educated guesses to wild predictions, the guys have the bases covered. And who knows? Maybe some of their wishes just might come true before the year is up!
🕯️ 2024🎉🥂
OMG this is the most frustrating, the speculation aspect, they could be a little bit more respectful of each others opinions, "no, no., no...." Talking over each other, rude.
I was going to write a similar thing. After Morgan was cut off room many times I stopped watching.
Appreciate each having an uncommon watch.
Watching it now and TAG Carrera DATO, Morgan called it a few weeks prior. Nice one 👏🏻
Tudor is going to extend the upgrades of the BB burgundy to the others models.
Why not the BB54 in other colors, a smaller Ranger and why not a white dial.
I would love a smaller FXD but I think that’s gonna remain a wish.
I’m really looking forward to the new Bremont field watch !
I’m hoping for a BB Pro with a white dial; but I’d take your burgundy in a heartbeat too - that GMT hand would pop!
Great episode. I agree that Omega needs to expand the Constellation brand. Especially the Globemaster. In the United States you just don’t see people wearing an Omega Constellation Globemaster. I own the Globemaster sunburst green dial annual calendar and it’s a beautiful and stunning timepiece. People will ask me about this watch. The coin edge bezel is really nice. The Constellation Globemaster is definitely underrated.
You do have to show the watches about your talking. We are here to learn, and we don't know all watches as you do.🙂
Thanks for the episode guys
Thank you guys, I really enjoy these. And it is of rare quality. Just simply sitting down on a nice topic. Nacho is a growing anchor, you guys aren’t luring to a paid second version, not trying to sell vpn or groming stuff and pronunciation of the watch brands is great too! Others could learn from that. Really appreciate it, you are on a roll!
The opening is funny! I am definitely fine with intros too
The Black Bay Chrono's are so nice, but for me they are just too thick. Hopefully they slim their inhouse movements down a bit. Also: Black bay 68?
I’m getting the feeling that only Switzerland makes watches on this video and only the top manufacturers at that! Perhaps a little more variety from around the world wouldn’t go amiss as this is becoming an advert for the Swiss watch industry and only a token mention of GS..
Well beside Swiss, some German brands and Casio and Seiko what else brand wise is there?? (non kickstarters or indies)
Thanks for the laughs!!! Great episode :) Omega’s first step should be a redesigned website with a configurator and a few more pictures of the models wouldn’t hurt…
Omega - add 758th page to their catalog with more options of every line
Tudor - white or original Pelagos blu BB Pro
Rolex - another platinum model; can you imagine the frenzy for a platinum sub?
Great episode gents. I'm with Lex - give me something avant-garde, introduce a new model, or do something novel. Stop shrinking cases, putting out new colors, and recreating watches that have already existed. I for one would love to see a Grand Seiko inspired by a pencil sharpener 🤣
Please Tudor please , make a pelagos 39 GMT
The color of 2024 will be red because of the Year of the Dragon in China. Look at Longines and IWC - they both released red dial watches already.
I´m thinking something new in titanium for Rolex, and wished they started introducing on the fly adjustment for all the bracelt clasps, not only the divers; more carbon fiber from Tudor, probably a non Alinghi version of both the FXD and the chrono, and again on the fly adjustment for the bb58; Something with the spirate system from Omega, Globemaster would be cool, being the first master chronometer and all; a new Swatch x some brand from the group colab; Going wild we could have a spring drive 40mm diver under 12,5mm thick from Grand Seiko, with a tapering bracelet and, guess, some on the fly adjustment and limited re-edition of the Cartier crash if I´m asking!..
great episode guys!
I never understood how people think Rolex would put a cerachrome bezel on the ExII. It makes no sense, as the watch is designed for spelunking. Ceramic can crack, which is completely counterproductive for the function of the watch. It made sense to go from aluminium to cerachrome because cermiac is functionally better. With the daytona, a steel bezel isn't inherent to the functionality of the watch either, which makes sense that they opted for the more flashy ceramic. With the ExII though, the bezel should remain steel.
2024 Omega: brace yourself, the Olympics are coming.
How about a Tudor Big Block Chronograph! That would be awesome. Just make it 39 or at most 40mm. ❤
This episode was a lot if fun! What do you think will happen to the microbrand market in 2024?
What is up with Lex he needs to calm down. Talking over each other, arguing. Etc. Madness.
Lex needs some wrist fysio later on😊
Lets not do Rolex and Tudor, but go for GP, iwc and omega instead. But we need to keep the Rolex fanboys happy😅
NATO and high watches makes the top heavy, never understand why people like that
'24 will be safe safe safe. The brands will only put out watches that are total bankers. Unless brands were so far down the product release pipeline the they can't turn back... Richemont brands look very exposed to price resistance. It's Olympic year so Omega will go full Speedy, but Rolex will want to spoil their party with something headline grabbing. Is a Ti Sea-Dweller enough? No. New colour OPs perhaps. A 40mm FF? Movement won't fit. More likely 42, but I think they may hold out 'till their 75th ani. Patek need something classy.
