We use coconut,jeera, khuskhus, chilli,onion, garlic (all fried in little oil) for gravy. We also use raw tomato & raw onion to mix in the curd. However , I will try this method also.

Nice to hear Davanagere Kannada, which is my mother's place. Nice, authentic recipe. We also prepare it , but we add coconut, jeera,khukhus to the gravy. We prepare the Same with tomato wherein we don't cook tomato,onion . We add it raw. Mam is So simple, & ,her method of explaining things is awsome.
Please will you upload the recipe of"bisi majjige saaru" . My mother used to make it with soaked channa dal. I have forgotten other ingredients.
