Continuous dungeon can be a really good system specially with random map generation + fog of war, besides fixing many issues DnD had without it (spawn rush, empty lobbies, stream snipe..) it can genuinely make the game better... but the problem is the current implementation is just not good, it has too many issues such as you kill a player, and such player insta queues into the same lobby, or a player instantly takes a blue portal to "Scout" the lobby and either go in again with info or just change character to a better match-up. Additionally the problem that's being seen in Inferno at the moment where people insta go down to inferno, while not being "bad" per-se, its simply killing the game economy. Reaching inferno for juicy loot and being able to boss, it felt like a reward for exploring and surviving the upper layers of the dungeon, and now it just feels like a boring battle royale in a square room, which defeats the point of the random generation with fog of war hidden map
Continuous dungeon could be good, but Ironmace implemented it in the most barebones way possible. 1. It's annoying as hell spawning late/into an already looted corner of the map. The hotspots will most likely be cleared and the bosses already swarming with players 2. You should NOT be able to respawn into a lobby you died in. I don't know how many times I've seen people die 2, 3 even 4 times in solo lobbies. 3. Doing bosses is just nightmarish. Continuous dungeon further added on to the issue of vultures swarming boss rooms waiting to rumble in on the silly goose that DARES to kill the boss. There is no clearing out a lobby to make bossing safer, you're just going to waste time that may already be shortened by spawning late. 4. Ruins may as well be an interactive loading screen. Outside of quests there's really no reason to stay unless you REALLY want to do Spectral Knight or Banshee. Crypts only get by because of the randomization. If you want gold and gear, there's no reason to not rush Inferno immediately now that the stairs down open almost instantly.
many of these problems will be fixed if they implement loot respawning and add random modules to all the maps. they also need to stop people from being able to leave at the start of a game, because that shit is just cringe.

They need to not allow more spawning in past the 10min mark. Nobody should be spawning into a match with 8min left. Also stop allowing people to join the same match after dying. I dont know how many times I've killed the same 2 to 3 players in one fuckin match just to attempt troll.

@fromthesky1050 nah he's not I've been doing troll since it came out and it's pretty much always contested you have to fight multiple players to be able to fight the troll
The concept of the continuous dungeon is good, but it's implementation is a bit bad. I like lobbies not turning empty after a few minutes, but the third parties from new joiners is crazy. I feel like they need to increase the match timer to 15 minutes, and make it so that killing someone/a team doesn't immediately open up slot(s) for new players to join, but its delayed by a minute or so. Also, stop letting players join after the match hits 10 minutes because it feels really bad to join a match without much time left. That'd let lobbies be more populated with late joiners, but still able to be cleared of players if that's what you want to do before bossing. Also, they need some map features that penetrate the fog of war for particularly important things: - If you have a quest that requires a specific room, put a general area marker on your map that covers a quarter of the map to indicate that the room is somewhere in there so that you can actually find those rooms for quests. It wouldn't tell you exactly where the room is, but the general area it is, so you're not searching the whole map only to find that room didn't even spawn. - Soul hearts should have a long interaction ability when held in your hands that will mark the closest rez altar on your map, since we can't see the map any longer, so it's currently up to RNG if you can find a rez, unless you've already passed by one previously.
Exactly this, though I also think they should add an interaction (such as the drawbridge wheel) to static blues and reds that take time to open, and then remain open for a certain amount of time. If you have to interact with portals, why not statics?
@@ZorkalotActuoly I found this a problem in the continuous dungeons with folks constantly joining, there is a hard cap as to how managers can be in a match and that’s based off the number of available escapes in the map, however a lot of layers have been leaving in the lower tier dungeons in under 2-5min… making it take time to escape via making all escapes intractable to open would actually be a good way to force the game to slow down a bit and stop early escapes if they wish to have exits available after a minute and a half or bring back exits having infinite uses to stop early or mate joiners form entering match deciding they don’t wanna stay after 2min and eating up an exit making hard for those who do stay late to escape.. worst for late joins I seen late joins enter a game and then leave instantly just because they were late and did not wanna deal with everything already being looted or done.
