I hate that you diss this thing so much. I have one and love it. I always wanted one and finally stole one for half price two years ago and has had zero repairs other than control arm bushings and a flex pipe and did 36k miles in the first year alone with rough driving. Mine is now at 183k miles and bought it at 133k in May 2015. It's really fast if you know how to drive although mine is not AWD that obviously adds tons of weight, you should have driven a FWD to compare. The only thing I hate is the CVT but I've learned to manipulate it. I smoke alot of people and give others a good run. And at 80mph, my rpm's are near 2200. This is why it's so good on gas. I get average 21 city and 27 hwy. People think its a SUV and I pass it off as one with rear door tints. Helps that mine is black. The seats are super comfortable, I did Uber for a year and people complimented the comfort like a sponge, although the fabric material stains easily. The handling is stable, but I run Goodyear tires. Michelin tires usually flex alot more, therefore are less stable. I bend corners at high speed and it has a low rollover feel, unlike the Explorer. I bent corners through the mountains of West Virginia twice in the last year with ease like a WRC driver, freaking out my passengers. I love the handling. I guess the AWD weight may affect that on yours. For 7 passengers, the mpg is amazing. From Chicago to West Virginia and back 1200 miles was only 3 tanks of gas. My caravan was way worse. And let me mention IIHS "Good" front crash rating which is the highest possible. Reliability, mpg, safety, performance all are my key issues and this thing fits me like a glove. So sorry you had the AWD. Maybe I'll give you a ride in mine one day. 😂 This was Ford's little secret and I'm looking for a second one now. But will probably end up with a Flex, which is worse on gas and also lower in safety. 😕 Anyone watching this video, if you can get one with a good transmission and only FWD, I recommend it. And I've owned possibly 500 cars since I was 15 and my brother is a 30 year mechanic. I like what I like for a reason..... Safety, performance, mpg, stability.
Same here. I own the EXACT same looking one as what he tested with the same package. AWD, Burgundy, 7 seats... LOADED. Mine was a one owner, and bought it at 70K at 11 yrs old. I ABSOLUTE LOVE MINE! It's not slow, and actually has A LOT of power. It's a beast on the road and I will drive it into the ground. I've had to replace the control arms on both sides in the front. I've also done Uber in it, and people love it. The gas mileage averages 18-20 in the city and more on the freeway. It just turned 100k last month.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedi have this car in red but it black inside (hot during summers!!) (Not limited) And yes most of it sucks. Car works to get me places but no ones going to want to think about buying mine. I bout for 2700 $. Some damage on car. I had A 2015 ford edge and then an accident and then i had to down grade 8 years to this crap car. And its 2023 now!! Im 29 but maybe, Hopefully i will get something better. God willing.
Excuse me?? It's 12 yrs. old and it seems the only things wrong with it are what he thinks are design and quality flaws. It's not rusted, everything works, it seems to have no reliability issues -- WTF is the problem? Besides, it seems to have a timeless, dignified look about it; it doesn't scream "Obsolete!" I'd be happy to have one of these!
SURENITY ! My mom had one a 2005 limited in silver i detailed the shit outta it only thing is she never took care of the broken fog light even though i told her so many time and the rims and paint couldve used a touch up something ford needed to do but guess what my sister her daughter lol now has the freestyle and it will go now another 20yrs
Jeez.... All this dude is complain about how he hates the car! Why make the video in the first place! I just bought the exact same car in great shape for only $3000 with only 137k miles on it. Drives like a dream. And I love the flat seats! They support the hell outta your butt and back!
You really don't know what you're talking about. For the type of use this vehicle was designed for it is actually a great vehicle. The reliability, safety and overall utility is what is most important for an ADULT, which you obviously are not. To mention a Nissan Z in the same breath as a 7 passenger anything shows you shouldn't do any type of vehicle reviews. What you "hate" about the vehicle are the seats which are leather and not vinyl, have excellent power adjustability for height, lumbar, fore/aft and side bolsters (doesn't sound bad to me), gas mileage (truly does suck, I'll give you that!) and styling (in 2005 it was actually considered very stylish especially for a 7 passenger vehicle). This is why a young male that drives a Z should not do a review of his mother's 7 passenger Freestyle. The most important thing is what you state at the end; very reliable, dependable and low maintenance costs!
This car (minus crappy AC and radio system) is all I want in a car now! I had the first model year AWD red and gray 2 tone with tan leather, sunroof, and all the fixings. We got one with the console delete in the middle row so you could pass through to the back. I was only 9 but man I remember thinking that car would be cool for a long time.
I think a used Ford Freestyle would be great for us high schoolers. IIHS rated it good overall in their crash testing, It has enough seats to haul all our friends, not very fast and you don't shift because it's a CVT. My 06 Freestyle is my teenage party boat! I'm a Senior and my car was voted as best car at my high school!
as far as safety is shares a lot of the Volvo XC90 architecture if you watch the Ford 500 review on Motorweek they discuss the safety features it shares with Volvo
I have had a 2005 for 14 years now. I like the interior - the third row seating fold back options is amazing and easy to understand and use. I think 20 MPG for something this big is awesome, it gets just as good mileage as our 2011 Escape if not better. Sure the pickup stinks but you didn't buy this car to race anyone did you? The one recommendation he does make about the car is the one place I am not sure I agree with him, I don't know if its a great buy for someone now and that's because the CVT is so notorious for blowing up. It has gotten the reputation for being a time bomb waiting to happen. So I don't know if I could recommend someone plunk down 4 or 5 K for this car over something else that isn't a time bomb. Although honestly transmissions go all the time so if you are willing to take a chance on the CVT go for it. I love my 2005, my kids love this car, and we have put it through a lot and it is still going.
We have had one of these in the family for 190k miles, it has hard an extremely hard life from not getting to many oil changes to hauling things that it definitely should not have been hauling. And I will say that this has been the most reliable vehicle we have ever owned. Nothing has been replaced on this other than tires and brakes.
We bought the mid grade front wheel drive, in'05. Our MPG runs about 23 MPG on highway, fully loaded, doing about 80 MPH. Got 138K miles. 3 sets of tires. This is the Family Workhorse for hauling, vacations. CVT trans seems to be holding up. had recommended service at 60K, Ready to do it again. People must like them. they don't stay on dealers lots long.
The CVT is a great transmission IF you change the fluid every 60K miles like they recommend and apparently you and I do. The biggest problem as far as I can tell is that the CVT was made in a Japanese factory and IF it goes out, that factory's closed due to a little problem in Fukushima. Ford was doing its best to swap out the CVT for a 6 speed transmission, but proper maintenance is everything on these. That and figuring out the electrical problem that makes the lights flash every time it gets a stray radio signal. There's a TSB on that (05-5-1), but the dealerships don't typically look it up.
Don’t be swayed, this is a GREAT FAMILY WAGON. I’ve got a lot of good to say. Any review depends on the lens reviewed with. Clearly a Scion tC and a Freestyle are light-years apart. Wish I.D heard your parents’ commentary. Though only 1 direct ‘compliment’, quite a few were made indirectly. As in how useful it was to the family i.e moving, snowboarding, low cost to maintain, 10 yrs of trust. Personally, I have a different lens. Shopping with 3 toddlers and all their ‘luggage’ led me here, and I adore it. The space is AMAZING. The 2nd row seats swing up to allow ample space to access row 3. I do not have the storage in row 2 and prefer the open aisle for easier access to securing the 2 car seats in row 3 (lack of LATCH system in back is disappointing however, only the psngr rear seat has LATCH - believe both row 2 seats do, I leave driver row 2 empty of a car seat so I can’t recall). The front seat even lies flat, to allow for a completely open psngr side from windshield to rear gate. There’s crazy space behind 3rd row compared to any other SUV, and even many vans. I got a double stroller amongst other stuff. I have a 6 CD changer in the dash. Dual climate control and rear air is nice bonus. It is tough to reach some of the controls in the cabin while driving. 1 click up and down of drivers window is convenient. A Cool feature for a mom/dad is the flip down wide-angle mirror underneath the review mirror to monitor backseat behaviors. Every seat has its own cup holder as well as storage cubby for the toys and books and in my case pine cones, twigs, rocks, and occasional worm. BUT I’m 40 with 3 toddlers, I couldn’t care less about the plastic interior (it wiped down easy). I fell in love with this model before buying it and sought it out, happily driving an hour to buy a 2005 w/ 70k for $3,000 in 2016. My negative, lots of rust underneath. Has me worried, seems worse than normal. 2 spots rusted to a hole underneath floor. May be a potential rug wetter in upcoming winter. Could be a major downfall but it’s not a model wide issue either. CVT takes getting used to, but in theory in makes a ton of sense. Only made for 3 years (05-07), changed name to Taurus X in 2008 through I believe 2010. Clearly general public didn’t share my feelings. Quite a following however online forum (MyFordFreeStyle* com)
I've had my 06' for about 11 years now. The only issue that I've had was the fan resister for the air conditioner breaking. I bought an aftermarket part and regret that. The fan won't blow very long without shutting off every few minutes. I should have gotten a factory replacement. Other than that no problems.
how is it now? My friend bought a 2007 from his neighbor for $1000 and has driven it for several months. It has started missing every so often and stalled out in an intersectionone time, which cared him. The computer did not bring up any codes, but check engine light is on. He was told it needs 6 ignition coils and a computer and repair estimate was $1600-2400. I am considering looking into trying to fix it myself. I wish I had a repair manual for it.
@@lydiaahubbell8545 I just brought my mom a 05 a year ago and it’s been great. Mine did the same and needed ignition coils and I changed them myself which was easy but the computer is probably the most expensive part of your repair. Fix the ignition coils and go from there.
I just purchased a 2005 AWD 6 months ago with 180k miles for $1500. I live in Buffalo and this car is everything I need! Mine is absolutely a smooth, comfortable ride & Its a perfect family car! I have had zero issues so far& I get compliments all the time since I got it!! Every car has something I would change or add... but this does exactly what it was made for(a solid, reliable, safe vehicle... with tons of room & does what you need) It wasnt built to be fast. I know he was only saying he wishes it was "faster" , but its faster enough and has enough power for what I need! AWD is great for Buffalo winters!! I get approx 25 mpg. no complaints-
I have to disagree with almost this entire video. I have the EXACT same car is the one in this video down to the paint color and color interior and I can say that I find almost none of what is in this video to be correct. I actually bought THIS Limited version for $12k with 38k miles on it from Florida and flew out to drive it home to Texas because I already had an SEL front wheel drive version that had been so fantastic. My Limited now has 93k miles and my SEL 242,000. The SEL is a rocket, and I would jump in it tomorrow and drive it to LA or NY or Alaska without a second thought. The Limited came with heated leather, second row buckets and second row ac controls, along with steering wheel audio controls. Audio in both has been great!! And I LIKE the look of this car, I do not find it a bit off putting. It HAS presented more issues than the SEL, which has had ZERO major repairs and runs like lightning. The Limited had a $1500 entire ac replacement at 80k. The compressor shelled, and apparently is known for that. It is nowhere NEAR as quick as the SEL on take off. I regularly get 25 hwy mpg, 19 city, but it seats 6 REAL people, the SEL 7 because the center is bench instead of buckets. Nothing is better on family trips, and the SEL has done several Texas to Maine runs. Up top rails are rock solid and there is space aplenty in back. The SEL seats fold flat and I can carry 8x4 plywood. If you can find an SE or SEL low miles with leather, you are IN buddy!! Oh, and the sunroof is a treat too! The only “modern” convenience missing that seems to matter? Bluetooth.
Yeah, same here. This video is a joke. I just bought a 2006 Freestyle Limited (FWD) for $1500. This thing is FAST (0 - 75 in about 4 seconds. I know cuz I live on a highway & do it DAILY. ), the ride is SMOOTH AF (practically GLIDES over the road), it gets AMAZING GAS MILEAGE (20 - 27 MPG), and most importantly (for me, anyway) is the MASSIVE STORAGE CAPACITY. Also, I pit my Freestyle against my friends 1999 Camero, and BEAT IT in a 1/2 mile drag. So yeah, it's fast. Well, fast enough for me anyway. Probably not this kid tho. This Video, basically: "It's doesn't look or drive like a Corvette, so it sucks."
@Yooper Author yup. still got it, and still loving it! average 22MPG, and it has reliably hauled me and all of my tools (I'm a carpenter) DAILY for almost half a year now.
Knock on wood I’ve never had any trouble. However when I went to have my transmission fluid changed, the mechanic said he wouldn’t touch it because I didn’t do it at the right time and they are known to have transmission problems.I never changed it and still haven’t had any problems at 150,000 miles.
my parents got theirs in '05 to bring me home from the hospital in. its now mine, with 100k mi and no transmission issues im aware of. recently had brakes replaced for the first time. mine is just a fwd. her check engine light is on and off and so was the powertrain light until the battery got replaced but no visible issues. i love mine. drives well, and im rough on her. a comfortable ride. mine isnt as tricked out as this one but i love her. mine doesnt have aux cord functionality though so ive built a cd collection
We have an 07 SEL model. The center console for the second row isn't in ours, but that's good, because I fold down all the seats and go get lumber with this thing. I also can fit a twin mattress in the back, with 2nd row folded down. We put a pod on top when we travel and our german shepherd is comfortable in the back. And 2 kids in the second row. I didn't notice the lack of power, until I bought a Charger with a HEMI for myself (Freestyle is the wife's car). A kid who owns a 370z probably doesn't have a good perspective to do a review on this thing.
A new fully-loaded Freestyle was only about $31000. The CVT was from Audi and All-wheel drive was from Volvo. AWD 0-60 was 8.5 sec (same as 2014 Infiniti QX60). It seats 6 comfortably. It also has side curtain airbags to 3rd row seats. Has 6 disc CD changer. All seats (and 2nd row arm rest) fold flat...even the passenger seat folds down. Fit and finish is nice. AWD can go up dirt road even only if 1 wheel has traction. A 370z is uncomfortable and the ride is harsh and interior is noisy. It only seats 2 "comfortably" and cost more than $30,000 new. Not much truck space and long drives are exhausting. A Mustang GT 5.0 cost less and will outrun the 370z.
163000 miles on it! everything original! nothing to fix! oil change brakes and tires! new muffler, flex pipe! thats all! low cost to keep it runing! Love it! and seats pretty good and comfortable! and a lot of room for everything and everyone.
Bought my 2005 Ford Freestyle in 2008. It's now 2018 and I still LOVE it! I'm sorry that I won't be able to probably find one when this wonderful car bites the dust (has 97,000 miles now). Sigh...they just don't make em like they used to. Hopefully this guy will go over 200,000 Miles! Oh, have had no issues with this car! None...Nadda... better knock on wood. Oh, btw...mine has a V6 and has plenty of power (probably because it is FWD as mentioned in a post below). Gas averages about 18 mph city... True on resale though... I bought mine used for $12,000 in 2008 with 35,000 miles and today it's worth 3,000 trade-in. I really feel for those who paid 25,000+ three years before I bought it...but then I feel for most who buy new and take the initial "first 25,000 miles hit". Glad they do though, so I can buy low mileage used like my terrific Freestyle. I agree about interior quality being plastic, but it's held up well and I'm hard on my poor car. The seats have been the exception as far as looking good. They stained with water right from, the beginning for heaven's sake. What material stains by simply getting wet??? I'm a nature girl, love swimming, creek wading, took granddaughter and friends creek wading all the time, love collecting driftwood... I finally gave up cleaning the seats years ago and put on car seat covers. Problem solved (don't look beneath the covers...). They do wash up with a good scrubbing and blow drying, but what would be the point...they'd only stain as soon as they got wet again. I do agree, though, that this would be a nice car for anyone today (oh, and I learned that they changed the seat material after 2006, because of the staining problem). Everyone is surprised when I tell them my car is 13 years old. It looks so much more modern then it's age. I love it's reliability, it's looks, it's tons of space, it's get up and go, and it's EXTERIOR KEYPAD (before this car I was forever locking my keys in the car). Seriously, if I could replace this car with another Ford Freestyle when this one dies, I'd be happy... (I'd go with one with the non staining seat material, however). Alas though, since they stopped making them quite awhile ago, by the time this one croaks... any out there with decent mileage will be extremely hard to find I'm afraid....
37k bullshit, bought one for my wife, 2006 limited loaded with everything 29,450 out the door on 5/12/2006. Does great in the snow(needed as we live in a ski resort) and very few repairs. Just bought my youngest son one, his friends want him to drive on excursions because they can all go in one car. Fits him pretty good and he has no complaints as he is 6'4". Installed him a good aftermarket radio and he's happy. And stated it has a good safety record.
The amazing part of this video is that the car ran for 12 years without a blown transmission. The CVT was notorious for failing. In fact there was a class action lawsuit surrounding the defective transmission. I actually came close to buying a used one in 2012. I got lucky and researched it. The dealer that I almost bought one from tried to up the agreed upon price, so I walked. THANK GOD.
This young man does not need to be a car salesman. This car looks amazing for its age and having a family grow up in it. He is a young man who obviously isn't going to like anything that resembles a family car. I am looking into buying a car and found one of these. I am a single mom and need to know if I could trust one of these. I bought a Windstar from a family member and it's transmission died on my 3rd day out not 10 miles from home. I didn't even have it registered yet.
That’s unfortunate the car died on you. But just giving my options on a family car we owned for several years. I also worked at a car dealership for 3 years. This is how the car worked for us and our experience. Just sharing that..
Still driving my 2005 Ford Freestyle. He has seen better days, but old Ned is still kicking. I wish I could find one in good condition to replace him with because he is definitely on his way out. I can confirm this car is reliable as hell, despite the transmission recalls. Definitely has always been one of those “if you treat it well it treats you well” type of cars.
The Ford Escape, which debuted in 2001, was actually the first available crossover SUV from Ford. The first generation rode on the Mazda 626 platform and the optional but popular Duratec 3.0 V6 engine, which the Five Hundred and Freestyle also used, shared design language with Porsche.
I'm at 170,000 miles... Everything inside still works just fine... It's been a trooper for me... Starting to have some transmission issues though... It's gone in limp mode a couple times literally all I had to do was stop turn it off turn it back on and it would work fine again
It's not even worth getting a new transmission... The only time it ever does that is if I'm really slamming on the gas.... So it really doesn't ever do that anymore
I own a 05 freestyle and I get about 24 highway and 22 city when I changed the fuel filter on it I went from getting 319 on a full tank to 389-423 miles it’s been pretty reliable to me and I’ve been able to accelerate pretty fast in mine driving style matters my guy
Nice Reviews Guys... might up grade my 2003 Subaru outback Wagon 243.000 miles ..with 2005 Freestyle Ford Wagon with 175.00...miles...take an chance....Thks Guys😅
Thanks for your honest opinion, but considering it's a Ford, it's a pretty good car. I just saw one in craigslist for $3,300 and 158k miles in good condition. But I feel you, I wouldn't pay 36k new 17k used or 12k wholesale.
Lets put this in perspective. You got a decent car. You paid alot less than most in it's class and I didn't hear you talk about repair costs. Now you say it was cheap to own and reliable. For all wheel drive I wouldn't expect a race car with the added drivetrain to pull. I got a 2007 sel with 102K and paid $5k for it. Front wheel drive and cloth seats. Has never gotten less than 21MPG in town and almost 30MPG on the Hwy. Runs great and I've put a good amount of cars in the rear mirror on the ramps and passing lanes. I've also heard from a few people who thought they could pull heavy equipment and travel trailers and have of course wrecked the drive train. Most people don't understand that you can't pull loads with a transverse drive system without problems. The CHEAP subject is nauseating at best from you. Let me educate you to the fact that most interiors are just Plastic coated items and a very little shiny cheap metal(at best). SO we will let you have your inexperienced Youth and wait for you to grow up. Just a side note though I'd like you to put a 15" diameter tube that's 9' long in your car with 3 other passengers 172K on the odometer and take it 340 miles deliver it and return without a hitch and the mileage was 28MPG over the entire run.
Dave Keller 2005 F Freestyle. i am original owner. 166000 milea. did absolutely nothing to the car. AWD 24 m/g, town 17 m/g. Love it! and seats comfortable. It is well build Ford Station wagon. not mase for speed. best family car!
This was my first car in 2014. Since then I’ve but in about 37,000 miles and it’s handled like a champ, back in high school this car would be good for the space. I would carry around 7 people in this car all the time and it was good. I’ve only had to change the tiers and the breaks, buying one used is really good and reliable
A good friend of mine is selling this car. It’s a 2005 with 125K miles. He’s selling it to me for $1,500. I drive a 2006 Mustang GT as a daily driver. The Freestyle drove like a dream. It isn’t a sports or luxury car but I felt really comfortable and I was very relaxed in it while test driving it. Seemed like a perfect road trip car for me and 4 or five of my best buddies. I’m planning to ultimately use it as a mobile workshop. I’m removing the rear and 3rd row seats to accommodate tools and materials. Nothing too large or crazy heavy. If my side hustle works out, I’ll spring for a pickup next year. An overall informative video. Thanks!
My dad had an 06. The transmission was absolute crap. But the car was a tank. It caught on fire and started right back up to drive on the traieler. When the transmission was all but shot it became my farm beater. Lets just say ive gave that thing a run for its money. Definitely worth 9k in 2013
Seems like a pretty good vehicle from everything I've heard. Is it comfortable in the front and back seats for people on the taller side, say 6'2" or 6'3"? I was looking at one today, but the place was closed for the day.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I appreciate the response! I didn't end up buying it and bought something else, but seriously thought about it. Hope I don't end up regretting it.
I’m a mechanic and I hate ford but I picked up one of these bad boys from my friend for 1200$ and its awesome .It’s a 2006 and my family loves it. I swore I would never buy a ford but a deals a deal and this car is actually a good car. Idk wtf this guy in the video is even talking about 😂. Sounds picky af if u ask me.
I have a 2007 Limited, bought it used in 2014 and I have had minimal issues with it. It had 67000 miles on it then and now I'm close to 200,000. That was highway miles traveling packed. I still got 27-29 mpg according to its computer. But I had taller and wider tires on it. Which caused a mileage disorder making more miles per gallon. At 100 miles it would travel 106 miles. Love the car and it is still in use.
Weird. I bought my 05 new in 05 and paid 22,000 for it. Still driving it with 280,000 miles. Only ever did routine maintenance and changed the alternator once. Just now needing exhaust, ball joints and tie rod ends. Air still cold. Switches and buttons still work. Complaining about the seats he fails to mention they're fully adjustable for height, seat angle, lumbar support. Interior in great shape. Raised 7 kids driving this car full time, it's been through 4 teen drivers and it's still my daily driver. In Ohio, with no rust. It's FWD, not AWD, and gets much better gas mileage (about 22 last I checked). It's a great family car.
I got one with 160,000 miles for $2,700 ladt year its been good to me. I did oil and vreaks anyone recommend any necessary preventative maintenance? Spark plugs sound like a hassle but so far runs fine
Just bought one and so far no problems not fast on the take off, but it does run once you get that cvt transmission going! Like a sleeper car especially going uphill
The things you dislike about this car are the things this type of car doesn't offer anyways. It's not a F(*&ing Porsche dude. People who own this car are not going to be aggressive drivers. It's a VERY reliable car for the price and what you are getting. I'd love to own one again.
Oh it is a great car for what it is. But keep in mind, I am reviewing this as an enthusiasts perspective. I'm used to fast cars. So this vid just has a twist too it. We bought our mom a turbo Escape to replace this. And that car is such a nice step up for her needs, and it also packs a decent little punch and is agile around town.
My freestyle is a limited with a V6 also from 2006 and I love it. To replace it would cost $40,000 at least. It’s so spacious with extremely high headroom in the back with a wide and tall opening. It has plenty of power, is all wheel drive and good in the snow. The capacity to pack it with crap is unbelievable. It still looks pretty good after being garaged all that time since we bought it new. It has great window visibility. I love it so much I don’t want to get rid of it even though it’s so old. As long as it continues to remain reliable, I will probably keep it! I love that it’s on a car frame so I don’t have to climb up into a big SUV but I have all the storage and hauling space I could want in the car. I get 25 to 26 miles to the gallon on freeway still after all these years in about 20 overall on average. In my smaller car may get more mileage but the utility of this vehicle in the comfort in driving makes up for it. We paid 32,000 for the vehicle fully loaded except for a video screen because we got a for discount through my dad. I’d say I got more than got my money’s worth out of it after going on 14 years and it’s still going. Well it’s showing rust underneath and some on the inside wheel well, It still looks pretty darn good
Very cool to hear about your Freestyle! They are definitely great vehicles with a ton of space! My mom enjoyed it while she had it. Now tho she's englobing the new Escape much more since she doesnt need the space lol
I think the reason you don’t like it is because you’re younger And maybe it’s not necessarily a cool car. My son is telling me to get rid of it all the time too especially because it’s older and he looks to be about your age. 😉
I love it when I find cars that people got bored of rather than broke down. This and the Honda Element / CRV seem to be the only ones that I've found this with though. Subaru outback and forester would've made it too without the head gasket issue.
I own a ford freestyle 2006 and I unplugged the Traction control and it handles better than my Ford Mustang Shelby 2008 now. but you do lose the 4x4 option on it but definitely worth it
This was the 1st brand new car I ever purchased. My son was 8 (26 now about his age), daughter 6. This thing was a workhorse. We drove it 2 FLORIDA multiple times. Tons of storage, cheap but efficient interior. Loaded I think I paid about $33k. It looks stylish 4 a big wagon and we gave it away at about 180, 000 miles. While all the accessories kept failing 1 by 1, it ran until about 250k then went 2 rest in peace at Dirty Dave's junkyard in St Paul Park. Google Earth the place 4 a good laugh. TEXAS chainsaw massare on meth. FREESTYLE you r gone but not forgotten. R.I.P. 😔
Just bought one today!A 2005 AWD with 255,000 miles for$1900 have to buy a rear rotor which I did for $45 seems to handle fine no dents or dings interior in great shape.Needed something to haul my girlfriend 5 kids and should handle the task fine.
Make sure you wash the salt off after the winter. We just replaced almost everything underneath that had rubber over the past year. Yet there's no rust yet, go figure.
If this style fits your needs as it would mine I think it's a great vehicle. There is something to be said for being useful. This guy talks about car seating and the interior like it's supposed to be lived in. I think the perforated seats are a nice touch for air flow when it is warm out and the ample seating room makes it seem like a lower priced luxury vehicle for long trips especially with the added DVD system. Pretty stylish for a wagon type ride. If you are transporting seniors or special needs people in your family this would be a very good car for you. I had an Explorer for a long time and this just looks like a trimmed down version of that SUV. Also I don't know what experience he has or expects from it but a Ford V6 is nothing to sneeze at. They run well and are super dependable, it's the incredibly doggish slow Ford 4 cylinders you should avoid. Working for various car companies in the Motor city has given me a lot of insight over the years as far as the design and performance of a wide range of vehicles. No this is not even close to a Mustang and it's not supposed to be!
Yeah this is a great car for what it is. However I'm reviewing this from my perspective. It's okay that we all have different opinions by the way.. But I'm used to sportscars and even SUV's that are performance oriented. If you want a people hauler, then yeah the Freestyle is great. Like I said. But personally when it's time for me to have an SUV. It'll be an Audi or something that has performance. That's just what I like.
My neighbor has 2 Freestyles, one he got brand new in 2006 and now has 139000 miles and the other he got a used one (2005) with 149000 miles and now has 241000 miles on it. He says little repairs here and there but it still runs like a freaking champ. I really want to have one. Got to avoid the AWD models. He says the AWD models are more common to break. Not sure if anyone else has had that issue but I’m using an owner based source here.
I've had my 2005 Freestyle for over 12 years now. No AC (fixing it next spring) and rear window wiper motor died, but it's still doing great, rides good and no rust! No car payments for years! 👍
Also I think we got a decent deal out of it, we put almost 250k miles on it, we've used it to move not only us but a few of our friends, and over the years it's just been a semi reliable car to drive every day, and I have taken it off roading a few times
@@BrosFOURRSpeed my parents even got it new when I was young, and it's still kicking. I say it's a very decent daily driver all things considered. It's getting me through college and I hope it will get me to my first real job
Got mine in high school at 239k miles, yeah the interior isn’t great and rattled a lot but i made some carbon fiber parts and blacked out the headliner (i have the black leather interior) and actually did a starlight headliner. Its been… not the most reliable but the previous owners did terrible maintenance so i cant blame it on the car. I actually do enjoy it though when it’s running well its on aftermarket enkei wheels with the factory titanium green paint which is honestly an amazing looking color combo. That with a custom exhaust and for a grocery getter it actually sounds pretty nice lmaoo. Id do some power mods but the cvt is made of glass, honestly the cvt is the biggest thing i hate about the car but it can be swapped for a six speed. Handles surprisingly well for its size in my opinion
We had a great car for 12 years. NO maintenance AT ALL. It's a very good car for trips with the family. You won't be disappointed. We don't have AWD but is sounds like that might make it slower. Ours accelerates to highway speed with no problems. Very Good car!
Bought our 2005 in 2006 with 30k miles on it. 12 years later @ 190k stating to have afew issues. We love this thing. When we got it if you kept it around 65 it would give us 32 mpg 28 @75-80. Only got 17-18 around town but i do have a heavy foot. My only real complaint is the $1800 it cost to have the struts changed. Or the half day you'll spend ripping out and reinstalling the 3rd row seat and every thing around them if you try to do it yourself. Other then that it's the best car we've ever owned and wish their was a comparable something to replace it with. Ours is fwd and to spite having the 3rd row seat folded down packed for vacation 2 adults & 2 kids it walked away from a jerk in a Cadillic EXT.
Have you seen our channel lol, driven hundreds of cars, I’ve owned a GTR, Supra, S3…at the time this was made, I had a 370z nismo, but it’s ok for the type of vehicle it is. Definitely body roll. It’s not a performance or handling type of vehicle, but does ok for what it is.
Ford should of put the 4.0 V6 in that. The third row seats looks like has more room then most Crossovers of today. With the cheap hard plastic, most Fords of that era had that which includes my Mustang. Speaking of Mustangs, crazy that Freestyle was priced nearly $14k more then a Mustang GT of that year.
Trebor S When this car came out Ford was very proud of this 'revolutionary' concept of a crossover. This was basically the first crossover available and I guess they had a lot of cost sunk into the design.
When my kids were young I bought a 2005 Freestyle brand new for 27K. Owned it for 12 years and it was one of the best vehicles for the price I have ever had. Very flexible and roomy for whatever we needed. Put 150K on it with only routine maintenance...brakes and new tires. Loved the feeling of safety and the safety ratings of the car and it had a much smoother solid ride than most SUVS. Put 6 people in easy..7 if you don`t care about a seat belt.As far as the design I looked at everything in this class in 2005..that is just what they were unless you were going 40-50K in price point.Now..the kid reviewing it looks about 18 and single. Would my single 18 daughter want this car...no. But for a safe family car this was very good to me.
My dad has this car andddd... the dash glitches out and you can't see the speed or anything, we haven't gotten the recall fixed where it Revs very fast in reverse and it actually does it in gear now, so basically it's a death trap at this point and for $36k new.
You have to think of the time this car came out, very few good vehicles were made in 05. Imagine how all the people who bought Chryslers from that time feel.
yeah I hear yah. This vehicle did very well for what it i. But during our ownership it was already 2010 or so, so my perspective as an enthusiast as well just made this car very basic. But it served us well
Gotta say I love my 2007 limited Has dvd Navi, sunroof 3rd row seating, I upgraded intake and exhaust. Basic maintenance and tires and I’m all over the country camping and climbing perfect for it and great on gas
I had one of this the limited edition, I was surprise the quality it has and roomy, it was very gas efficient and cheap to maintain. Bought with 124k and sold it when it has 197k. Had about one problem that cost me $180 to repair other than the car was great. I wish my new SUV was like this ford.
I flipped this car, pretty okay car. had 199k sold it for $3,200. believe it had the CVT which is horrible, I have a couple Altima with the CVT and great gas mileage but you can't swap the transmission. The transmission has to be programmed just to actually work even if you swap it
There is definitely something wrong with this cars gas mileage. Brand new I was getting 30mpg highway and 25 mpg city. I still have my 2006 Freestyle with 164000 miles and I still get 26 highway and 23 city. No major issues with the car and mine has plenty of power to get up to speed.
I just bought one. I moved back to michigan with almost nothing in my pocket. My old car in Alaska was an 89 tracer with three gears and a falling apart interior. The freestyle feels amazing by comparison and pretty zippy. I might be heavily biased coming out of an 89 tin can though lol.
This is actually a station wagon version of the Taurus. I'm actually looking to get a 2005 Limited to modify for show. I love the black with black leather interior. He knocks the interior and seats. They look great when you polish them up with Armor All. These are actually more powerful than people realize, and he is testing a USED car, so it may not be perfect. I actually have a 1999 Dodge Caravan Sport 3.3 six cylinder engine, and I hate to part with that. I love my Caravan, because I put so much work into it, and it still runs great. It's also super comfortable. But I look forward to owning a sweet looking Ford Freestyle. I want a black one to put rims and other details on it.
I have a 2005 Ford freestyle sel, currently has 203,000. Mine is plenty comfortable still drives good but the ac compressor is fried and it is jammed in there no wiggle room ...my biggest complaint about this car is how jammed everything under the hood is. So find it funny in the end it was the ac that ended my car.
As I re watch this video...I realized he didn't know there was a kick down switch below the gas pedal. If you push the gas pedal down a further notch it will give full power which is a big difference.
I regret that I've never owned a Ford Freestyle, nor have I ever driven one, so I have no way to comment on how it drives, or how well it performs and how reliable it is. However, I've seen enough of them during the time they were in production to know what I find attractive about a car. And I found the Freestyle more attractive than either the Taurus X or the Flex that replace the Freestyle.
bruh, who hurt you?? i have a freestyle and pretty much love it. it gives me problems occasionally, such as randomly going into limp mode, iv'e replaced the as resistor a few times, suspension noises, and squeaky brakes, but these are all fixable. i took it offroading near carlsbad caverns a couple of years ago, and it was great. lots of mountain driving in that area, too. no problems at all. i drive it for uber pretty frequently, as well. the cvt transmission has done a great job for me. i have helped people move several times, because this thing is a small warehouse on wheels when everything is folded down. also, for anyone experiencing the limp mode deal. just clean your throttle body out. i have new pads and rotors on the way, as well as a mototcraft ac resistor, so that my ac problems will go away. this has been a great car. i passed 100000 miles recently, so i'm freshening it up, taking care of some much needed maintenance. hopefully i can get another 100k out of it.
@@kramos182 I would have to pull over, shut it off and start it back up. That's the only way I could fix it. I don't know what was causing it to randomly go into fail safe mode. I wound up selling it
I still have an 07 Limited we purchased near new with12K Mi. on it from a dealer. It now only has 135K Mi. (because I have been retired for 8 years.) I still love it. Ford built these on a Volvo S 90 platform, so it shares Volvo's safety features, but has a more practical interior. Is it the only crossover on the road with opera seats? The kids love them, and the video player was great on long trips. Still getting 19 MPG in town, but I plan on replacing the plugs soon. I had an interesting experience with the CVT. Two Ford dealers gave me the impression they were afraid to service it, so I went to a local transmission shop and they replaced the fluid for $115.00 in 45 minutes. 2 years ago. Ford had quoted me around $350, but kept putting me off, I was delighted ! I am not sure I will ever get rid of this car.
Hey I Always Wanted To see your brothers Lotus look cooler.Such As Changing the front bumper wrapping the door handle in gold vinyl and wrap some of the interior
What you said is exactly how I feel with ours, which we have in black - luckily we bought it used as well, as a 2nd hand car to have in the winter months and for my son's activities. Have had it only for about 3 yrs. There are many irritating things about it, like discovering the gas mileage sucks. We live a small town so the helps with gas, but my son does like to take it out the road with friends, which eats up a lot of gas. The interior is poorly designed - lots of wasted space up front. Things fall apart and break easily, and scuff and wear quickly as well. I noticed in some other videos on replacing parts, that those owners have some of the same issues with durability with door guards/and rubber molding, as well as storage compartment hinges breaking, radio worn buttons, the door latches/handles are hard to open and close - not smooth, and the locks get stuck - doors won't unlock without climbing in the back and trying to force door open, and trying and trying to pull up locks to open doors. Very, very frustrating when trying to get in the back doors. I do like that you can haul things and get a lot of storage out of it, but in winter it is important to be able to get in through you doors that seem to be stuck most of the time. I do have auto start so I can warm it up in the winter, so my doors will latch and not bounce back open because the mechanism in the door latches/locks don't work. Anyway, I really want to get a different 2nd hand car, but because my young adult son has had a couple incidents in the car his last year in high school (3 yrs ago) - the body damage would not bode well with re-selling, so going to drive it until it quits. Currently has 130,000 miles on it. I hope it will go a couple more years before completely breaking down. Thanks for the insights - you made me laugh because that is exactly how I was feeling about my car.
I agree. I recently had to make a trip from Sherman, Texas to San Antonio and back with a car load of teenage boys. Made it with only one problem. The farting contests I could do without. My poor wife almost had to hang her head out the window to try and escape the fumigation. You knew something was about to hit when the giggling started.
Perhaps the main issue here is this is not a car for a young person? I love my 2007. My Wife fell head over heals for it, and we bought it near new. The Ford salesman called It a program car, very low mileage. I liked the idea of buying a Volvo for the price, and was intrigued with the CVT chain drive, and like easy to clean leather. She loved the bells and whistles, and now has a Ford Edge. More bells and whistles :) So I got Her hand me down and love it.. Our Freestyle is also a Limited, but I guess they put more goodies into the 07 because it has a Dual AC system, heated seats, touch screen, back up sensors, sunroof (that I use a lot) and a GPS. And what I thought was a factory DVD, but no matter now. It's been obsolete since the grandkids all have had someone pay for their pricey high today, low, obsolete or broken tomorrow tech. gadgets. The only thing I don't like about Volvos is they don't provide parts for their transmissions, although that has not been a problem thanks to the old timers at a local transmission shop that are very familiar with the now more popular CVT's Asia has been cranking out. I heard Ford's receiving a bad rap for initially not training it's techs to work on them, and.....drum roll....some Ford employees were misinformed, it does have a dipstick!!. I learned about it from a good Samaritan here on You tube. I have no idea what this fella is talking about re/ the ''cheap plastic, half leather interior''. Unlike our 2005 Honda, this one still looks near new, and all I do is wipe it all down occasionally. I would be surprised to see vinyl in a Volvo S80, covered with Ford sheet metal, but what do I know, it looks like leather to me.. And I haven't seen one broken or warped piece of plastic yet.. Hope this fella never buys a new Beetle. I hear the plastic falls off them in route................Also, not bragging, but have never waxed the exterior, and it has held up remarkably well under the hot sun here in Augusta GA., unlike some cars I've seen...And, this FWD is peppy, and I am saying that AFTER owning the Mystique Dura tech V6 we traded in for it !! Now that was a fast car! I guess AWD's are sluggish? But this car? with it's opera seats we all love, optional loading room, versatility and 19 plus MPG in town all day long? I would buy a decent one for $2K in a heartbeat. And this is one long car, I recently brought home some new 10 ft. gutters with the rear hatch closed..... I wonder if this fella knows it's a Volvo? I'll have to check out that button under the gas pedal, I never new about, or felt a need for, that. :) Oh, one drawback, for those of us who like to save money by working on our own rides, Haynes has not yet come out with a repair manual for this car yet.
My wife just came home with a 2006, 140k, $3000. INSTANTLY did not like it. The singular fake wood trim was a warning beacon, in the same way that a poisonous animal will have bright colors. Next day, check engine light came on *FACEPALM*. My code reader says bank 2 lean, this is going to be fun...
I just bought a used 2006 freestyle for my son as his first car, then he watches your video where you do nothing but downplay the car. Thanks dude you sure did help a lot!
ok? If he doesn't like his own car based off of what someone else thinks, tell him to not worry about what others think. This was a fine car for my mom and it served a great purpose. However from my point of view, as a performance car enthusiast. I don't like it too much because there is no fun factor or refined quality. Teach your son that everyone has a different preference in what cars they want to own. And that if he likes his car, he should be happy. I currently own a Supra and GTR. Some people hate the Supra for being built by BMW. I don't let that discourage me from enjoying the car. Instill confidence in your son :)
Your son needs to learn the value of sucking it up and dealing with what he's got. At the end of the day it's an appliance. He'll likely learn to like it.
It just turned 100k last month.
mines has 292k same trans and engine ,, only tuneups, oil changes and the control arms shocks.
RadioDoogie I'm thinking about buying one as a first car 130000 miles 1900 I'm just concerned about the power but I think u kinda convinced me here
RadioDoogie lol throttle body lol ac lol transmission

You say the interior is cheaply made but yet it's in perfect condition. I'd say it was built to last no?
Good point. But my mom takes insanely good care of her cars, so it'll always look perfect. I just didn't like the excessive use of hard plastics.
The interior isn’t cheaply made.
It has a lot of hard plastics on the dash but it all wears well. The interior was more than decent for a 2005 design.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedi have this car in red but it black inside (hot during summers!!)
(Not limited)
And yes most of it sucks. Car works to get me places but no ones going to want to think about buying mine. I bout for 2700 $. Some damage on car. I had A 2015 ford edge and then an accident and then i had to down grade 8 years to this crap car. And its 2023 now!!
Im 29 but maybe,
Hopefully i will get something better.
Stu Tarlowe id love to have this car
Stu Tarlowe true that!
Just a dumb no nuthin millenial kid

I couldn't agree more, David.
Beautifully written!
@David perla, the Ford freestyle is garbage unless you modify a couple things
I think a used Ford Freestyle would be great for us high schoolers. IIHS rated it good overall in their crash testing, It has enough seats to haul all our friends, not very fast and you don't shift because it's a CVT. My 06 Freestyle is my teenage party boat! I'm a Senior and my car was voted as best car at my high school!

The older 2004 Mercury/Taurus stationwagons are better.
as far as safety is shares a lot of the Volvo XC90 architecture if you watch the Ford 500 review on Motorweek they discuss the safety features it shares with Volvo

@Yooper Author you're welcome, fren.
And a little over 198k. was 194k when I got it.
I believe you gave a better review in your comment than the hole video,, thanks!!! 👍
Agree I had the exact same car too and love it. Leather interior and moon roof, missing Bluetooth But I could get an adapter if I wanted to.
"so my mom actually really actually doesn't actually really actually use that much actually"
07 freestyle 9 year owner. Its paid for. No telltale lights. No complaints.
I'm looking at getting one if these. My question is how many people have had problems with the transmission?
Also wondering this
A lot I’m pretty sure. My grandmother was one of them.
I’ve had mine for 6 years and tbh I haven’t had any issues with the transmission I love it
Knock on wood I’ve never had any trouble.
A kid who owns a 370z probably doesn't have a good perspective to do a review on this thing.
can you fit a full sheet of plywood in there?
260,000 miles, still runs perfect. I'm actually getting tired of looking at it.
Wow that's awesome! Maybe getting close to time for something new then lol
The car has great handling and it is fast I love it and it has a sound system
THANK GOD.
It runs without problems, so it is a good car 🙂
I just got an 07 last month and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Great handling, smooth ride, spacious and perfect for my family size
Yeah it was a good vehicle for its purpose! Very roomy and smooth to drive!
what’s the mileage and any issues so far?
Im watching this just to see how my coach’s car will be like next week, thanks for the video.
Looks spacious :)
Looking at buying a 06 with 200k on it for 1000 bucks seems like the only thing to check hard is the trans and rust.
Not too bad!
Thanks for sharing! It is a nice vehicle!
Oh wow. These are great vehicles for the money for sure! Hopefully a new transmission isn't too bad to put in. Or it's time for anew car!
YES!! my dads was doing the same thing!
It's not even worth getting a new transmission... The only time it ever does that is if I'm really slamming on the gas.... So it really doesn't ever do that anymore
it's better than a new nissan versa
Very true
Very very true
I own a 05 freestyle and I get about 24 highway and 22 city when I changed the fuel filter on it I went from getting 319 on a full tank to 389-423 miles it’s been pretty reliable to me and I’ve been able to accelerate pretty fast in mine driving style matters my guy
Nice Reviews Guys... might up grade my 2003 Subaru outback Wagon 243.000 miles ..with 2005 Freestyle Ford Wagon with 175.00...miles...take an chance....Thks Guys😅
175.000 miles...thats More Better 😂
These are definitely god all around vehicles for what they offer!
Thanks for your honest opinion, but considering it's a Ford, it's a pretty good car. I just saw one in craigslist for
$3,300 and 158k miles in good condition. But I feel you, I wouldn't pay
36k new 17k used or 12k wholesale.
Dave Keller check my comment. Yes I love mine!! 👍
Dave Keller ya
Dave Keller 2005 F Freestyle. i am original owner. 166000 milea. did absolutely nothing to the car. AWD 24 m/g, town 17 m/g. Love it! and seats comfortable. It is well build Ford Station wagon. not mase for speed. best family car!
Nice car, interior is awesome, I'd want one.
They're really cheap. I just bought a pristine 2005 with 137k in August for only 3000.
Yeah it was a great vehicle and we never had issues with it. Good point A to B car with space
Thanks!
Is the box behind the rearview mirror for auto wipers or high beams? 7,000 miles a year is crazy low!!!
brorowcarwiz I think it's an auto high beam sensor
My dad had an 06. The transmission was absolute crap. But the car was a tank. It caught on fire and started right back up to drive on the traieler. When the transmission was all but shot it became my farm beater. Lets just say ive gave that thing a run for its money. Definitely worth 9k in 2013
Thats crazy! We actually never had any issues with this. It was good for what we needed it for
Seems like a pretty good vehicle from everything I've heard. Is it comfortable in the front and back seats for people on the taller side, say 6'2" or 6'3"? I was looking at one today, but the place was closed for the day.
OH yeah it really is a great all around vehicle for a lot of people!
Does the stereo have bluetooth?
I don't believe it did. I think this was before bluetooth came out mainstream in cars
Oh very nice!
@seven7arrows how often did you change the tranny fluid? 280k? wow!
Back when I was 15, I was considering one of these for my first car because it's pretty practical; thank god I never actually never got one
Michael Dooby check my cmt
I got one with 160,000 miles for $2,700 ladt year its been good to me. I did oil and vreaks anyone recommend any necessary preventative maintenance? Spark plugs sound like a hassle but so far runs fine
Glad you are enjoying it!
You know this is a 12 year old car when material were not a priority
Just bought one and so far no problems not fast on the take off, but it does run once you get that cvt transmission going! Like a sleeper car especially going uphill
Oh nice! Great vehicle for a lot of uses for sure!
I still like the space and I’m a Ford girl so my next car will probably be an Explorer. The Escape is nice but too small.
I love it when I find cars that people got bored of rather than broke down. This and the Honda Element / CRV seem to be the only ones that I've found this with though. Subaru outback and forester would've made it too without the head gasket issue.
Yeah this was a good vehicle for what it was intended for. My mom really likes her new Escape tho!
I own a ford freestyle 2006 and I unplugged the Traction control and it handles better than my Ford Mustang Shelby 2008 now. but you do lose the 4x4 option on it but definitely worth it
If u can't afford a Flex, this is the next best thing
Yeah this would be a good older option for sure
Wow, sounds like a great deal! Have fun with it!
It is on a Volvo crossover chassis
Yeah, brutal review is right, lol. I think you must be a "glass half empty" kind 'a guy. I drive a 2007 and I love it.
Not at all…just sharing my thoughts with a car we owned for 10 yet and what our experience was like.
I'm interested in learning what mom decided to replace this car with...?
We got her a brand new Ford Escape, she loves the improvement!
this was my first car in high school and it got me through half of college Now i gave my brother it and upgraded to a 2016 Honda pilot
Oh cool! It's a functional vehicle for sure!
I just bought this for 1000 at a dealership yesterday. I couldnt believe it. I dont know anything about it tho. Thats why im here 9/3/2023
Oh wow! Good car for $1k!
I've had my 2005 Freestyle for over 12 years now. No AC (fixing it next spring) and rear window wiper motor died, but it's still doing great, rides good and no rust!
No car payments for years! 👍
Not too bad! The Freestyle was a pretty good vehicle for the time we had it!
Is it still going? How many miles does it have?
I love my freestyle. Still going after 18 years. Gonna drive it until it dies
Also I think we got a decent deal out of it, we put almost 250k miles on it, we've used it to move not only us but a few of our friends, and over the years it's just been a semi reliable car to drive every day, and I have taken it off roading a few times
Oh nice!
That's pretty good for sure! This car served us well too and didn't really cost anything to own
@@BrosFOURRSpeed my parents even got it new when I was young, and it's still kicking.
I personally have one, and the handling is fine. Hardly any body roll. Rides smooth. Obviously this kid hasn't driven many cars
This has to be the most reliable car Ford has ever made, I am pushing 300k with mine.
Nice to hear! We never had any issues with it
Ford should of put the 4.0 V6 in that.
@Jeffrey Sutton Correcto-mundo! Getting ready to pull mine this week!
But it served us well
you had tcs on thats a decrease in horse power.
The transmission has to be programmed just to actually work even if you swap it
Wow, that is great resale on yours, you lucked out lol
Bros FOURR Speed thanks, it's a great SUV. I replaced it will a 05 Durango
oh very cool
@Jeffrey Sutton For real? Please let this be true!!!! Imma go look!!!
if u owned it for ten years its a good vehicle
Oh yeah it's been a great vehicle. Very useful. Just nothing too special or fun lol
Glad you like it! Said car for sure for what it has to offer
Mine just went into Engine FailSafe mode. How did you fix that? I rely on my 05 to get to work.
I like the freestyle but the transmissions are crap
It ain't that bad,you don't know cars.
It was a perfect creation from Ford!💙
It was a great blend for sure to do the job of moving people around ;)
Some guys like their '57 Chevy's, some quirky guys like their DeLoreans... But I like this right here.
Thanks for the insights - you made me laugh because that is exactly how I was feeling about my car.
i'm getting a 2007 limited next year
Still beats a minivan.
very true!
