ANSWERS: 1. 4:21 I feel fine now! 2. 4:41 The wine is stored in a large vat. 3. 5:04 The bride wore a white veil. 4. 5:29 The car began to veer across the road. (The word "car" is difficult because of the invisible C sound.) 5. 5:55 I failed my driving test the first time. 6. 6:19 I have a fear of flying--or maybe it's a fear of travelling. 7. 6:49 We went to see the band playing live. 8. 7:15 My son had to bring a maple leaf to school. 9. 7:44 The surf was heavy after the storm. 10. 8:12 The bus leaves every 15 minutes.
I find it quite helpful, I think I'm getting about 95% of the words, I think some of the others are simply because I don't hear words like 'maple leaf' that often (I'm in the UK) so context definitely helps!

Great to hear that you are feeling more comfortable with longer sentences! It's a working memory challenge for sure.

I find it easier with short sentences.
That's good information, right? Any ideas on how you could ask people to speak in shorter sentences? How specifically would you ask for that?
