From childhood there was a strong pull towards acting. There was not much permission to watch movies from home. When father went to Baroda for work, he started watching Hindi and Bengali movies there. He was overwhelmed to see Amitabh Bachchan in the movie "Sholay". Got an opportunity to act opposite of June Mallya and Jishu Sengupta comes as the Anti Hero. Also acted opposite National Award Winner Sudipta Chakraborty. Shankar Chakraborty had a special influence on his life. He is grateful to all those for whom he is here today. Whose cooperation he will never forget. At the beginning of his career, many people said that he would not get a chance in acting because of his lumbering appearance. He is not fair so he cannot be a hero. But he did. He has worked with many big directors. Today everyone from children to old people is his fan.
বাংলা সিরিয়াল জগতের অনন্য ব্যক্তিত্ব সুদীপ মুখার্জী। শ্রীময়ী সিরিয়ালের অনিন্দ্য আজ তাঁর জীবনের অভিজ্ঞতা ভাগ করে নিলেন জোশ টকসের মঞ্চে। ছোট থেকেই অভিনয়ের প্রতি ছিল তীব্র টান। বাড়ি থেকে সিনেমা দেখার তেমন একটা অনুমতি ছিল না। কর্মসূত্রে বাবা বরোদা গেলে সেখানে শুরু হয় হিন্দি ও বাংলা সিনেমা দেখা। "শোলে" মুভিতে অমিতাভ বচ্চনকে দেখে অভিভূত হয়ে যান। জুন মালিয়া ও যীশু সেনগুপ্ত-র সাথে অভিনয়ের সুযোগ আসে Anti-Hero হিসাবে। ন্যাশনাল অ্যাওয়ার্ড উইনার সুদীপ্তা চক্রবর্তীর সাথেও অভিনয় করেন। তাঁর জীবনে বিশেষ প্রভাব ফেলেন শংকর চক্রবর্তী। তাঁদের সকলের প্রতি তিনি কৃতজ্ঞ যাঁদের জন্য আজ তিনি এই জায়গায় এসেছেন। যাঁদের সহযোগিতা তিনি কোনোদিন ভুলবেন না। কেরিয়ারের শুরুর দিকে তাঁকে কাঠখোট্টা চেহারার জন্য অনেকে বলেছিলেন তিনি অভিনয়ে সুযোগ পাবেন না। তিনি ফর্সা নন তাই হিরো হতে পারবেন না। কিন্তু তিনি পেরেছেন। অনেক বড়ো বড়ো পরিচালকের সাথে তিনি কাজ করেছেন। আজ ঘরে ঘরে বাচ্চা থেকে বুড়ো সবাই তাঁর ভক্ত।
