Drop a Rock Day | A day to spread kindness worldwide

#droparock #rockpainting #art Each year on July 3rd, people around the globe spread kind messages onto rocks and drop them for others to find, or to hang onto & re-drop another time. You can do it easy peasy with finger painting onto rocks, or by pouring paint or using a brush, or even dipping your rock into colors. Be creative & have fun. You can also use chalk, markers or crayons on rocks. Write a word of inspiration, you never know who needs to see it.

International Drop A Rock Day was originally founded by The Word Rocks Project in 2015. It brings thousands of people around the world together for a common cause. The sponsors, which now include both The Word Rocks Project and The Kindness Rock Project, created this unofficial holiday. Annually they release theme words or phrases to be used in the celebration. The purpose of the holiday is to show kindness, bring hope, and create fun - while displaying creativity in rock word art.
International Rock Day (not music) is widely celebrated on July 13th annually for people to learn more about rocks and their importance.
