You can get rid of the co-pilot by clicking your Xbox name in the upper right on the Home Screen. It takes you back to edit your aviator charactor. Just click on co-pilot and change it to none.
Great video. I’d love to see how your channel has grown. I think I was one of the first 20 subscribers. I learned to fly in a 152. On windy days it’s like flying a kite! I also heard Murphy give you a shout out Tuesday night! Thanks again.
I use Track IR Pro and it works great in 24. I have taken the 172 and Albatross up and I like the Albatross better. Less jumpy on landing. The fauna and ground details are outstanding! Hand crafted airfields are better but we need to get developers busy bringing the sim up to par. Great to see you in the new sim and it's great to see your subscriber count grow! -Mike
It's subtle, but the wind and current patterns on the sea surface are legit. I spend a lot of time on boats, and they absolutely nailed the way calm seas look from a distance. Lighting and atmospheric effects in this sim are next fucking level.
until we get the ability to download aircraft to our hard drives and avoid texture popping issues and server load issues its going to be choppy. And yes, the colouring is BEAUTIFUL. Clouds look much better too. Basically the server issues are the only thing holding this back really. But once we've all got our payware scenery sorted and payware aircraft that are all locally installed on our PC's we will be golden.
I was flying a small two-engine aircraft about the size of the Cessna you're flying. The whole bottom of the aircraft including the seats disappeared when I was around 3,000 ft. My character and co-pilot were magically still on the plane.
Then there's the 737 MAX with Santa Claus! Not sure if you've heard of that one. No joke. Santa Claus as co-pilot, but he's sticking halfway out of the roof. Lol
So Cool Ive done this same flight in real life in the C-172 and Piper 140..I lived in SXM and started my flying career there...Iv got FS2020 myself. Awesome to see you flying in this part of the world as well...Grand case on the french side was one of my favorite airports as well..
Hey Captain! I actually just spent a week on the beach in Grand Case watching the ATRs come and go, one of my favorite airports in the sim! Where are you flying nowadays?
@@IslandSimPilot Im based in Astana Kazakhstan on the Q400 but Live in Antigua, we had chat the other day I just changed my UA-cam name a little. lol Ill try get 2024 installed when I back home in December. Keep the caribbean flights up..love them! Ive got a couple myself on my channel.
Great to see you flying in the 2024 version. I could not get it to work properly. After the 2 day install process I could not fly 1 single time in 6 hours using the Sim. Crashed almost every time, tobii was not wotking, controls not able to set my settings and once in a plane the world content was not there with a really high internet speed. After a while the frustration was to much, completely uninstalled 2024. Started up 2020 and happy flying again. Will check 2024 again in the future again.
Totally agree with you on first impressions. Now, do I just want to fly and enjoy, or get my settings back to 2020 familiarity?? Tobii is on my horizon, looking fwd to your overview segment. Unrelated, I saw you struggling with getting into the cockpit on day 1, having the same issues with my 2020 Kodiak.
I knew the thin client model was going to be an issue and sure enough, there you see the results...blurry cockpit gauges and blurry scenery when flying. I have 250 Gbps down which is 2.5 times the ideal specs and still get bluriness. What a joke.
Could you explain in one video how to configure opentrack with Eye Tobii Tracker 5 in fs2024?.. The default configuration on Fs2024 of Tobii have no controls ..only look at left or right but no zoom or looking up or down or climb the head ... please! thanks! As always a excellent video!
My red bird yoke and bravo throttle quadrant are basically worthless. I can’t even start the plane magneto switch goes to start and one click back the engine turns off! Flaps when set to one stop either go all up or all down!! Basically can’t even get off the ground! Any help!! So frustrating!!!!
I believe you can set the default copilot to nothing (not there) in the avatar setup option. Also, I also think I've seen other videos where the Tobii eye tracker was working fine. I've watched a ton of videos so far, including day of launch live streams, but I haven't installed MSFS2024 yet.
It depends, if you don't need specific third-party aircraft (like a Fenix, PMDG, etc.), absolutely. The "stock" aircraft are from good developers. Really just a question of what addons you can't do without.
It should be, unfortunately you can't go into the settings for the Tobii in MSFS2024, it crashes every time. So the only option right now is to use Opentrack. I find Opentrack good, but the native Tobii software is definitely smoother.
2024 is lame till they fix it and be able to not have all in the cloud but I always Enjoy these videos Thank You. I love the red lights and yellow lights near the taxi ways saying to me hmmm whats beyond them danger ?? hmmm and sad to see no more group flights for me then since I am keeping 2020 for as long as possible.
The control mappings are a mess. Lots of bugs... today I flew in the DA62 and ATC thought I was a helicopter, and only listed helipad airports. My vr frame rates seem to be around 5 - 10 fps lower than 2020 using DX11. Sitting at every application launch and watching it downloading languages every time is infuriating... hopefully pc users get an optional download button for modules soon.

Yes, in your Avatar customizer screen you can modify the copilot as well and there is an option to set it as blank. I did that last night and it removes the in plane copilot permanently.
I can't get behind this version. MSFS2020 will probably be the last version I own. This 'game-streaming' crap is just not my thing and I will never get behind. I know it'll never change. In fact, it'll probably get worse as long as the people keep accepting it. Remember when games were on disk? Then, remember when you could (at least) download them? In both of those cases, at least the core files were on our computers. We didn't need an internet to play it. MSFS2020 is that way. Just disconnect your internet and try to play. FS2020 will load up, but I bet FS2024 wont. Asobo/MS could have done the same with this, but they didn't... Why? who knows. Personally, I believe it's a control issue. They want absolute control of when we can/can't play the game. They will say "that's not the case at all'. I call BS. Of course they'll say that. The truth of the matter is look at the world around you. Subscriptions for this. Subscriptions for that. You know what they say.... "You'll own nothing and be happy". Enough of my rant. Thanks for sharing capt. I hope everyone enjoys it, regardless.
..........................but apart from the eye-candy, has this justified a new sim? Is there anything that couldn't have incorporated as upgrade inserts, payed for if necessary, to 2020?
Not to mention the rework to allow multi-threading. That would have been a nightmare to incorporate into 2020. But in hindsight, they should have done that with 2020 when that launched.
You can get rid of the blue glow by changing the interaction system from 'Lock' to 'Legacy'.

This will also change the logic in which you interact with the buttons. Probably to what most of us on PC are accustomed to anyway.
