This a little series I have decided to make. I will compile what I believe to be the greatest quotes of animated cartoon characters proceeded by a clip show set to a song I feel embodies the Character,this time being Violator. The calm, soothing voice for a demonic clown actually makes Violater more unsettling.

God the tone of his voice is so unsettling it made me shiver
The voice acting in this series was just top notch! Spawn is perfection and Violator (especially in his whisper voice) is so haunting!
Considering the success of this series, I'm surprised HBO hasn't done more R-rated animated series. Preacher, Punisher MAX, and MANY other titles come to mind.
Characters like Ghost Rider, Blade, Punisher, Daredevil, Sentry, Moon Knight, Hellboy, Constantine, Ertrigan, Red Hood, and The Watchmen would be perfect for HBO animation.
The problem is, it wasn't... Only the first season was a success getting over half a million in viewership, the second barely qualified for a third season because the ratings drooped by a fourth. It was only really successful on home release.
ianmaluk1 maybe it was because the time it was released? I don’t know but i personally think that a series like this or in similar style would be very successful nowadays.
I would love for Preacher to have an animated series
MTV did the Max and I didn't get a chance to read the comic but the show was pretty good. IDK why it got cancelled.

Wow Violator is my favourite type of insane character, he has that subtle yet insane way of speaker that just makes listening to him speak sends chills down my spine.

Best thing about the HBO series was its opening scene. That's how you get people hooked to a TV series, you got to have a great opening scene that starts with murder, bloodshed, and hellish dialogue.

I almost think they'd be friends. Not like two dudes living in the same flat, but more like Cho'gath wreaks havoc and destruction, and Violator likes to watch and give tips (maybe even jack off). I mean, sh*t, Cho'gath commands armies of voidspawn, I'm sure there's some form of entertainment there for Violator.

The visual design was so well done and so subtle. The light and shot focus so often on Clown's broad aggressive smile is reminiscent of Violator's nightmarish head full of teeth.
If only they'd animate that Baddrock/Violator crossover..! In that particular three shot..? was some of his best!
(Having the Violator bust out w/Breakin' The Law..? Now THAT would be epic!)
