I see UA-cam are up to their old tricks again: blurring: ancient film clips lest we get traumatised by an actor playing dead or seriously wounded. I visited Fort Vaux and Duomont a few years ago. I can only imagine what is was like; having mustard gas and flame throwers being fired into those small tunnels. What the film fails to mention is that in Duomont there remains the bodies of 600 men killed in an internal explosion. The tunnels were permanently sealed up and a memorial placed there.
I found it very interesting that the French army still relied on fortifications during WW1. This was the technology that the French excelled since the beginning of the crusade. Her military had not changed much even until WW2.
Well, well, well and now, needless to say, after such a comment, you are going to kindly display your own sense of honour by letting us now about you r own nationality, right ? So... ?
It was an informative and incredible historical coverage video about Verdun city and robust forts network around that city... during WW1 in 1916 .
Excellent. Previously only had a superficial awarness of the Battles for Verdun. Didn't know how deeply the devl got himself to in the details.
Really great info and maps! Nice work.

Mustard gas (= Yperit, = Lost, = Senfgas, = Gelbkreuz) was first used in Summer 1917. Not during the
battle of Verdun.
Great video
Are you serious, blurring re-eanactors???😖😖😖
There’s loads of footage from ww1 experts say at least 1500 reels,
What made you think its a re-enactment?
Not a great script, way too many cliches.

This may very well be my new favorite channel!!
