Best review of the Aiper Scuba S1 yet, I've wanted to see how this would tackle decent sized leaf litter namely gum leaves and gum nuts seems to handle big size leaf no prob. great job!
Five hours to clean - what size pool do you have?? LOL We have a 40 x 18 (9 ft deep) fiberglass. I simply charged it, punched the button, set it in the pool and when I came out this morning the pool was sparkling - floor and walls. SO much better than the cord that either twisted or cracked or even broke once. Unlike other AIPER models, this one charges from the back so there is no flipping, etc .. SUPER easy to empty and clean basket plus delivery was in a week (had been told 2-3). FYI - It was on sale for $599 with free shipping on the AIPER site. Thanks for showing me the modes - cound not find them.
Im highly considering on getting this pool cleaner. Cordless cleaner means for me, not pool pump driven and therefore the filthiness of the pump filters that may occur won’t have an effect on this cleaner’s performance. Hopefully this cleaner has great quality gears, parts etc to last a decently long time without need of servicing.
I have an Aiper Seagull Pro which I’ve had only for about 4 months, it has developed a rapid battery drain issue. Aiper responded quickly and will be sending a replacement in two weeks. This Scuba looks super interesting though I wonder if they’ll consider an upgrade for me if I pay extra.
I bought a new seagull 3000 from Aiper, however the wifi doesn't work as they have removed support from the App for this model. Even more worrying is the fact that I can't order a replacement drive belt for it as they have discontinued this model in 2023. The small drive belt on pool cleaners can be considered a consumable, it they have discontinued any spare parts in less than a year then it will become a very expensive brick. Buy from a manufacturer who sells spare parts to support the machine.
Hi, thanks for this. Do you know if it would suck up fine dust? We don’t get much leaves in our pool but there’s a lot of construction around us and we also get dusty rain in our country, so I’m just wondering if it would be a good purchase to tackle to fine dust?
Definitely sucks up and traps sand and dirt. I am currently in the process of testing the s1 pro and will be up in a few days to give you a better comparison 👍
Thank you for your information... So... How do you think it will be handled with traces of sand inside or accumulation of dust on the bottom that appear after the pool is completely cleaned? Will you clean it? My pool is small, it doesn't usually have tree leaves or anything like that..... The filter of this equipment is not ultra-fine like the S1 Pro. Your answer will be very valuable to me. thank you
Hi Bill what did you do when you brought up the unit during the cycle What did you have to do to stop it and then when you put it back in the water to continue the remaining cycle
Hi, not sure if there is a pause/resume button but I usually turn it off when pulling it out and just start it up again on the floor/wall . I don’t believe it logs it’s last position to continue on from there, unless I am wrong and haven’t figured that out.
@@billshowto does the s1pro go over the safety ledge and scrub waterline better than s1. Also how does the s1 pro handle your steps compared with s1. We are looking to install a very similar pool with safety ledges and steps.
My Polaris corded (paid $1600 7 years ago!!) is on the way out, so I'm considering this one. Does it come with that retrieval hook or is that a separate purchase?
Which half height edge are you referring to? If you mean the safety ledge that goes all the way around the pool, this section is too small for any pool cleaner to fit onto so I have to sweep the ledge first the. Run the unit👍

It comes with 2 year’s warranty and the serviceable/replacement parts appear to be of good quality 👍

No harm in asking. Good to see that they are quick to resolve issues👍👍👍

We just bought one. I can’t get the dang thing to get into Bluetooth mode to add to the app. Have you been successful in adding to the app?
Bro - Awesome review, Thankyou very much for the info and content, youve helped me very much
You’re welcome 👍

Thanks Bill for the quick response
Now youve had it a while, any editions to your review?
Hows the battery?
Is the suction still consistent?
Great review, thanks
Hi, I love it. I have also reviewed the s1 pro and to be honest I prefer the s1, simple, cheap and gets the job done👍
@billshowto awesome..... I've just ordered the S1. Thanks for the feedback

Thanks for such a wild description. I would’ve loved to see it. Go up the wall mind you but it has made my decision a little bit easier thank you.
I would also have liked to see it go up the walls and how it reacted to the safety ledge and steps in wall mode
Thank you for posting this helpful and informative video
What cleans better? Your old Blu whale or this?
So far this one does. Much faster, efficient and is a better build overall 👍
Is the battery replaceable? Also is there an app that it can connect to?
what about Canada coupons for 10%? any black Friday deals ?
Try this AFF10, not sure if it will work 👍
@billshowto - Wondering how it went with the pool safety ledge on the walls please? Did it clean the ledge and waterline? Many thanks.
Hi, it cleans the water edge but the ledge is too narrow for the unit to get onto👍
@@billshowto Legend! Thank you!
@@billshowtoso it made it past the ledge up to the waterline? I had a cleaner before that would stop at the ledge.
Great above shot of the cleaner doing it's "wave technology". I was curios if it actually worked, and now I know it does!
Glad I could help👍
What kind of pavers you have? They are so pretty
My Polaris corded (paid $1600 7 years ago!!) is on the way out, so I'm considering this one. Does it come with that retrieval hook or is that a separate purchase?
Comes included 👍

@@billshowto Yes, that's what I meant. I understand that he can't clean it, but he can still climb the wall up to the surface of the water?
that’s correct
@@billshowto Perfect, I just order this robot 😏

Great Review 🎉 just purchased Unit💪
👍👍👍
Great review mate. Thanks for this.
No problem 👍
That looks like a flat pool. What about a graded pool with a deeper end?
This is a graded pool
does this robot have a wifi connection to support software upgrades from Aiper?
This particular model does not, however I believe others do👍
Yes it does just upgraded mine through the app don’t think it can be controlled through the app though maybe you need the pro for that
10% discount code on Amazon US doesn’t work. Says it’s not valid.
Impressive 🎉
Hello, I don’t saw in your video, it goes on stairs ?
Unfortunately it does not clean the stairs
