LOL of course he can remote play that far... you could remote play from NY to China if you wanted to... the problem is the latency (the response time of your inputs on the controller and when you see the action on your screen) gets worse so the experience in fast paced games will suck... but turn-based games and such would be fine

But how do you leave it in rest mode while using the app? I’ve been having trouble with that and everything is enabled and my account is active as my primary, because when I put it in rest mode from my IPhone it automatically loses connection.

I live in California near the LA area and went back to my hometown (Philadelphia Pennsylvania) for vacation to visit family, and in my spare time I would log onto wifi or even occasionally cellular data to play and it worked pretty much flawlessly! It was very handy for times I was just bored sitting around doing nothing. My friend who was back at the house taking care of the house and pets for me would watch me play on the TV and was blown away by it and asked me question about it like how well it worked and if there was any lag. And surprisingly there was not much lag unless my internet connection was bad

I've tried to play through wifi connection outside of my house. is there a specific way to set it up?
@@JayMuggah88 I think you’re just supposed to link your PS4 to your device while you’re still at home on the same wifi network, and then after that it should let you use any wifi connection or even your cellular data (if you have the cellular data option turned on in settings). And sometimes it gets unlinked, and you have to re-link it. So if I’m going out of town or something I always try to make sure it’s linked before I go. And I think you just hit the link button and it does it automatically, or if you want I think you can manually enter the code from your PS4 in the PS4 settings in the remote play section.
@@criticalkids it didnt work for me on Wifi or my cellular outside the house. I will try to find a stronger connection, but tbh I have an older phone. Maybe something newer will work
@@JayMuggah88 Well first make sure you have mobile data enabled in the settings of the Remote Play app on your phone, and if you do then yeah it was probably your connection. A lot of times it won’t work very well or at all if you don’t have a good connection, or it’ll take forever to load

I have a very good connection at my other house but I can’t seem to connect to the PS4. I already did the initial paring on the same network as the PS4, but when I go to a different good network it won’t work. It says unable to register PS4. Thoughts?
