Definitely doesn't sounds like my type of scent, but I am sure someone will love it. I really enjoyed the carrier oil blend of their unscented oil even when I didn't know much about how it was supposed to feel.
A bit delayed but I ordered my set early and I sort of regret it now becasue this is by far my favorite scent from them and of course it was only limited time!!
Think of them as a trial run and they let the numbers decide. If the demand is there, they bring it back. If the demand is really there, they make it a permanent scent. I do totally know what you mean though!
I’ve had for a few days now. I absolutely love it!💯 A super manly outdoorsy natural cologne A perfect blend of leather, sandalwood and spice mulled honey mead! Fantastic! 💯🔥👊🤘
I hear alot of people say this company or that companies oil keeps their beard soft and conditioned all day. I can't seem to figure out why my beard likes to dry out on me, throughout the day, over night. 🤷♀️
I love live bearded products, but I don't match up with their scents all that well. I really like executive and can tolerate tombstone and American. I'll likely stock up on their unscented products. Skal sounds awesome, but sandalwood has been a deterrent for both my wife and me lately
Sounds interesting. Their 1880 is my all time favorite scent of any oil I have ever had. I literally just open it to smell it, multiple times a day lol
I have heard of them, but never tried their products. I have actually met the owner but it was not a good first impression. I would like to give them another shot in the future though, because everyone has a bad day. Maybe it was that!
I got my Skal oil, butter, and wash in the mail yesterday and I absolutely love all three. I personally love the scent, I really enjoy sandalwood. To me, Skal is a very masculine, outdoor, cologne scent with a small bit of sweetness in there which is the honey. The butter from LB is my favorite butter. I actually enjoy the ever so slight slight “stick” to it because it gives my beard the perfect amount of hold to style it without making my beard feel like it has wax in it throughout the day. LB’s wash is also my favorite wash on the market, absolutely fantastic, and their oil quality is phenomenal as well. I love Skal and hope it can become part of their main lineup. Thanks for the great video Dan!
Great breakdown, thank you so much! I agree with your "masculine, outdoor, cologne scent with a small bit of sweetness in there which is the honey" well said!
@@DanCBearded. Thank you. I hadn't seen anything on them. I had ordered one of their beard masks, because the medical masks were killing my beard. I liked the mask, and saw that they offered a Veteran discount. As I am a Veteran, I liked that. But I can't support a bad company just because they offer a discount.
Love the Executive scent, and the 1880 has really grown on me in a big way, I have ended up mixing the 1880 oil with the Executive butter and definitely recommend trying it, I have received A LOT of compliments on how I smell. Looking forward to receiving my Skal because I'm definitely a fan of the leather scents. Gonna try adding a splash of the oil to the butter, thanks for the tip Dan!

Great video brother Dan! Mine arrived yesterday & it is good! I love all three scents & Live Bearded will sell out fast. I thought about ordering another set but I'm not the type of person that likes to hog up everything so I'll leave it for another brother to enjoy. Have a blessed day y'all!!
Thanks for the thorough review. I was considering purchasing this product and was waiting for the trusted teacher review. Still haven't decided whether to purchase this one or not, because I am not a big leather fan and not sure if I would like the smell of honey in my beard.
I have not used the executive in a long time, so I could not really say. I am not going to act like I know when I don't lol hopefully someone else will be able to respond!
Hey Dan, great video! I got Skal in the other day and man, I love it!! You hit the nail on the head about Sundaze being a top 3 scent as well! It’s tied with American at #1 for me and I hope they bring it to the main line up. Same for Skal!
I have some on the way Danc10. Not a big sandalwood either but I wanted to try since I really like 1880 from Livebearded. Livebearded was is in my top 5 at #3. I'll add my thoughts when it Skal gets here!!
Hey, I’m pretty new to bearding but I have been watching a lot of your videos, and I’m trying to do this right. So as far as the butter goes, I was wondering if it’s a lighter or heavier butter?
Dan C, thank you reviewing this product and explaining the products as well. I’m fairly new to bearded products and I actually really enjoy Live Bearded products. I also had the same experience with their beard butter and I’m going to try your tip with adding the drops of oil into the butter. I’m curious to try this Skal scent I’m a subscriber to their products and was aware of the release but wasn’t sure on scent; currently my favorite scents from Live Bearded are Tombstone, 1880, American, and the Executive. Thank you for sharing I really enjoy your content!
I’ll stick to my canyon scent for now. I tried their sandalwood vanilla to pair with the Stirling Soap Co. sandalwood vanilla. They don’t smell similar at all (LB is more sandalwood smell and SSC is more marshmallow.)
Tried Live Bearded's Legend butter and didn't like it. Too tacky upon application, felt like I was ripping hairs out when I ran my fingers through my beard.
I am with you there. Adding oil does help, but I value the easy application types of butters more and more as time goes on. I would love it to be lighter and smoother
Another great review, but it made me a little nervous. I love LB 1880 for the notes of citrus and your Commands Corner from W&HT was my favorite from them. So, when you said you don't like sandlewood I thought uh oh. Because I already have the full bundle on the way. I'm sure it'll be fine.
I use ‘Live Bearded’ products almost exclusively, but I’m a hard pass on sandalwood. It essentially smells like patchouli, and like Dan, if it’s in there, it will be all that I smell.
Not to yuck anyones yum, but not my favorite. In fact I’ve gone to mostly unscented products. Is anyone else sick of the Viking, tough guy, skulls, etc promotion techniques that so many of these companies are using?? I’m a professional, adult male. I’ve had a beard of varying lengths for over 24 years. I just want a quality product, without an over powering smell. While I am overjoyed with the increased availability of beard products. And I like “Live Bearded” products. I could do without the juvenile advertising that so many of these companies are using. Thank you Dan C Bearded for always keeping it classy and mature, without being stuffy and self important. 👍👍

Was curious about this brand as I started noticing their ads on Facebook and IG recently. Seems legit -- Although I've yet you had either leather or honey scents. Sandalwood I'm fine with. Finally bought me both some Fable (Captain Crimson) and some Ruddy Man (Shipwreck) though -- The Fable is my everyday product now and the Ruddy Man was perfect for my Florida vacation on the beach. Ironic, because both are fairly tropical and I'm more used to the "manly" scents. Might have to give Skal a try.
I've still been on the hunt for a good product. I never was able to find that place the Roman that you suggested. I have been gotten better with the internet. In fact I ordered myself a hat and some stickers from beauty and the beard. Any updates for a meet and greet?
Any idea why they are pronouncing it different? Not hating just always heard it pronounced like Skol even with an A. Sounds intriguing. I said in another video my only complaint with their seasonal is having to buy a kit. I use unscented butter usually and just add a drop of oil in it. And Im good on shower products for a while 😂so I would want it in oil only
I have no idea on the pronunciation, great question! And I agree on the kits, I wish they had other options for the consumers. I get it makes sense logistically, but still frustrating.
I keep hoping to find a reputable company quality products and a solid Celtic or Scandavian/Viking theme, but so far they're mostly trash with flashy gimmicky marketing. I guess for now, seasonal releases like this will have to suffice. There are certainly lots of stones I haven't unturned, so I'm still hopeful to find what I'm looking for.
I love the smell of actual leather, but for some reason I don’t like whatever that translates to in beard oils. There are a lot of scents I don’t care for, but given the right mix they have their place. Anything with leather in it just smells like leather to me, no matter the rest of the profile.
