The SQ (Sûreté du Québec is the provincial police) was probably told to let him go because he just isn't worth the effort. CPIC (Canadian Police Information Computer) was alerted the SQ let him go. Hats off to the OPP.

Nah even he didn't he would got car on bail from "donations" and then still felt he won some how even though in a like 2 months they put a warrant out for failed to appear for his ass sigh...
And I doubt they "let him go" I bet they gave him court dates, and told him to fix it, a fix it ticket or some shit, and he ignored it, and edited it all out the video, I bet he even promised to fix it as soon as he gets to his destination and had a sob story to boot lol. Its how they work they do a sob story "I am moving to new place across country I get fixed when I reach the destination please don't tow my car, I swear I be good, look my ID says I am clean of any major crime, and other cops said its ok I got x more days to fix it according to them." Its like that is other COPS not these cops sigh.
Like people try that shit here using sob stories. I got neighbor with a poor ass excuse for a rock crawler he DRIVES out and about and puts paper 1 day passes on and makes sure its hard to read so you can't tell shit is expired and pretends he thought it was good, must been a mistake by his wife, and he promisses to fix it. Its like that sad excuse will never ever pass inspecition for tags ever they turn that shit away second you drive up in bay to emetion test it because all the illegal modifications you done to it that make it not street legal lol.
Its like my man its cool you like to offroad but I know a ton of people they all tow that shit in a trailer because it will never pass emessions. Him "nah this system works they normally give me a warning still cheaper then buying a trailer, and with my credit I can't get a truck good enough to tow this you insane!" Its like my bad I forgot you only buy junk heaps that break down every week, maybe if you were not fixing your shit every 200 miles you have more cash to fucking get a better used vehichle god damn.
Like when some one says "i know a guy do it for cheaper" that neighbor is that guy and he only buys broken shit because it "saves him money" itsl ike cool you go the car for a low price but you spent like 4 grand before you called it quits on repairs just spend 4 grand and get a more reliable fucking car jesus...

There is nothing as sacred as insurance. It is the one thing a person needs if they're driving. If any officer lets a person go without insurance, that officer should be relieved of duty. The amount of damage a person can do to people, property - a friend of mine was paralyzed by a DUI driver who had no insurance. Even in a country with universal healthcare, that is not even remotely enough. He had to sell his house. All his hobbies (a real outdoorsman), gone. Can't even take his dog out for a crap in the winter.
If an officer lets a guy go, he just put the municipality on the hook for any damage the driver causes. The fine for intentionally not having insurance should be 30% of your after-tax income. If caught a second time, your car should be seized. People treat insurance like some dumb plate or piece of paper. It's as important as it gets - it's a social contract to protect others from your bad choices. Insurance first, sober second, license third, registration fourth. People will not get the message if cowardly, lazy cops like these are the norm.

The RCMP get called in if the regular cops can't get the job done. Like how Texas has regular cops and the Texas Rangers. They're all technically cops but the Rangers and RCMP would be more elite with more special training. I hate that this nonsense goes on in Canada too.
