It’s not a spoiler, it’s called a reference or easteregg. There are several of them throughout the game. Like how a newspaper mentions Slaughter Gulch, or how another newspaper mentions Little Toy Shop where the prequel to Alone in the Dark 2 called Grace in the Dark took place.
The Evil Endings are definitely the usual Lovecraft endings. Grace is the best ending for her. And nobody died... That we are aware of. While the normals are the altered Normal Endings, where Jeremy is alive, and Grace was added there earlier than she should be.
I got the Grace good ending as Edward, and "Hells Kitchen" ending as Emily. My Emily playthrough had me shocked when she attempted suicide because she realised the Dark Man was inside her head. I thought both play throughs were good with Emily being more psychological, and Edward was more comic relief, at least in my play through. Not sure if Edward would be seen as comic relief if you got the evil ending. Solid game, shame about the studio getting closed because if they made a second game, it'd be so much better then the first considering what a solid foundation this game was built on. Great game.
how do you get Emily to submit to the dark man?i have to objective to do it but in the cutscene after the accidental lobotomy i can't get Emily to lower her gun and do the submit sign.
@@PikaLink91 if you use the paint thinner in Dr Gray room, you will end the game after Jeremy lobotomy - game will end before the boss fight as shown in the video.

Kinda suck that the girl survived, she is annoying as fck, I hated her. I would much prefer if Ruth survived instead like in the second ending on the video. How does the game determine which ending gonna happen anyway?
I read it more as the subtext of nyarlothotep having many masks or faces in fiction with the king in yellow and the pallid mask being one of them according to later Derleth interpretations. There’s heavy references to his black pharaoh mask in the game too. So Emily showing the sign indicating she gives up puts her in possession of this version of nyarlothotep. She becomes possessed and another mask for nyarlothotep to wear.
None where Edward gets picked up by a driving zombie?? This remake is worthless! Seriously though, it woulda been a great opportunity for the evil Ed ending.
Did they in the secret ending implying that she's their daughter!? Them talking about this game as a play that hard to understand is make more sense than the whole game story itself lol
If you play Emily’s story, they grew fairly close to the point where Emily asks Ruth if it’s ok for her to write her and if you go back to Ruth’s body after she passes, Emily is quite torn up about it. I guess in Edward’s ending, Ruth chose to leave with Emily because of that bond. Not an official explanation but it’s the only one I can really come up with.

At that moment, Edward realized everything. He has been a pawn of his mother, Shub-Nigras, from the beginning. The ugly world looked beautiful, and Edward started laughing like crazy, his thoughts turning mad, "Run!! Emily! Run!!!" These words were Edward's last vestige of sanity.
