For those who've been asking for a practise tips and tricks...HERE YA GO! Edit: For those who are wondering, practise with an "s" is the British English spelling for the verb form. And Practice with a "c" is the US version! I use to the British English version since that's how I learned it (plus i'm from canada lol) :) Anyways, let me know if you guys have any cool practise tips and tricks of your own! :) p.s. Happy American Thanksgiving to my American viewers!
Not related but....my goal in mind is Play like paganini and perform all around the world! Haha what a big dream i have in my little head. Also, i have some tips for you, just some motivational purposes its what i do. 1. Write Quotes on your study notebook or journal, i always write down Quotes on my study notebook where i would always put what the things i need to learn so whenever i feel like giving up i would always read the quotes and think about my goal as to why I’m doing this. 2. Imitate the musicians and try to do the same actions as they do so you feel like you’re the one who’s playing the piece, just some things i do when i feel like I’m not good enough. 3. Never give up. Also, When you spell Paganini it means PAIN GAIN Just something random i wanna share haha
I'm getting a violin in some days and this helped alot with me starting such as leaving your violin out, because it truly does make sence "I will practice more if I see it more" And if you hide it you will never really have the mood to take it out. Also no distractions One thing that will help me when I get my violin is turning off all notifications and maybe adding a timer if I need to go somewhere in a bit. In a quite room will help to because in a quite room all your concentrations will be focused on you're violin, How do I know this? - I have a piano and it helps. And this video will be saved so I could rewatch it when it is the day I get a violin tysm for making this lesson learning video! Helps alot for me and I'm sure with others to!! Keep doing what your doing. You're amazing!! 💗🎻
I can confirm that tip #2 is true. Whenever I set a timer for practicing, it just got boring. Fast. Then, around 3 months ago, I stopped using timers, and practicing got WAY more fun. You didn’t have to keep thinking about when the timer would end.
Occasionally I like to have my boyfriend on the phone with me or around while I practice. This is typically like my “check points” to see if a person who doesn’t know much about music can hear any blatant mistakes, if he can hear improvement, or to help shake nerves. Playing in front of him is hard Bc I don’t want him to think I suck but if it’s before a big competition or audition it helps shake nerves. I did this the day before my college audition and it felt so much easier playing in front of the three judges because of it.
Thanx for the video! I'm from Mexico, I used to record my practice sessions and see the progress, I want to doit again. Stop and find a solution if you have a problem it's super important. Good video!!😃
Thank you for the practical tips. For the beginner what kinds of violin or brand do you suggest to buy and which violin are you demonstrating on this video ! Please let me know!
Maybe wash them with soap and dry perfectly that's only solution I can think of, I almost never had this problem. But I had frozen fingers and than it's hell to play
thank you so much! im really late but i think i'm starting orchestra at my school tomorrow and i'm choosing to play the violin. i'm really excited about it
ive been playing for 2-3 years, but i cannot play it my bow is slanted or it slides my fingers are never on the places they need to be even though the required school stickers are there to visualize it
I have a problem for when I switch notes fast even when my bows straight it switches to the next note which is annoying and I have markings on my violin too but my fingers don't wanna cooperate. Do you know how to fix this? 😅
I wouldn't memorize them. I thought I had difficulty learning how to read sheet music but you need to learn them but by bit by pieces. You get used to them a lot better when you play pieces. For example, if you have learnt the notes G D A E then play a song with only those notes. Once you get used to them you can add more notes.
I have a violin cause our school taught us how But they not professional I learnt nothing I wanna learn it I havent used it for 3 years now Its out of tune idk how to tune im afraid to tune the strings might break. Help No one teaches me
Cinnxchyum You can download a tuning app to help you with it. Personally I use Master violon tuner, but it costs money. Since you're afraid the strings might break, try tuning with the 4 little screws behind the bridge of your violon. Hope this helped :)
Leave your violin out, this has been my trick for years - sometimes I will pick it up for 5-10 min when I didn't even plan to pick it up. The recording tip I should do more often - Great tips!
Leave a log (My log:"day one -- I suck Day 2 -- I suck Day 3--depression Day 4 you know what ill just practice until I starve And then I'll say I played my violin till my dead....)
I don't get it, what's the actual point of recording training session ? I guess we're supposed to listen to them after but what are we actually aiming by doing that ?
leaving your instrument out is such a good tip, it helps me practice more
Skyicee
I tried that once and my mom threatened to cut off my fingers
So, in the case it shall remain
I thought I was the only one that had trouble getting my violin out!

I’m Ameri-triggered
In Britain we actually use practise with an ‘s’ as a verb and practice with a ‘c’ as a noun. Or at least that’s the way I was taught.
instructions unclear i leave my violin out and my mom yells at me for not being clean
so relatable dude
My mom said I was irresponsible and she took it away ;-;
@@idk-pm4er oop
My mum said she would trip over or smth
Ok so she said not to practice with your boyfriend... WHAT IF YOUR BOYFRIEND PLAYS VIOLIN TOO!?
If your focused on music, than go for it.
@@andrewstudebaker5397 What if they not on music? They would interest in..........?
WHAT IF YOUR PRIVATE TEACHER IS YOUR BOYFRIEND? OR WHAT IF THE VIOLIN IS YOUR BOYFRIEND
Or if he’s your teacher lol

This is great. I started violin about a year ago but I never was that good at organizing my practicing. Thanks!
I recommend getting a violin stand They’re cheap on Amazon and your violin is always ready to go when you are.

Keeping the violin outside definitely helped. Every time I pass by I just pick it up and play :D .......Thanks Esther

These are great tips. I’m a beginner and this will definitely help.
I have a recital in 3 days. Luckily my lesson instructor said I get to choose if I want to play by memory or with the music to look at.
What do u do when u have sweaty hands while playing?
Maybe wash them with soap and dry perfectly that's only solution I can think of, I almost never had this problem. But I had frozen fingers and than it's hell to play

What is the cloth called that protects your violin from the dust
thank you so much! im really late but i think i'm starting orchestra at my school tomorrow and i'm choosing to play the violin. i'm really excited about it
I play the violin, the viola, and the dizi flute. The violist Mariko Hara inspires me to play better.
This was so INCREDIBLY helpful!!! You're a lifesaver!!!!
Excellent advice. Thank you. 🙏 🎻
