C++ streams are slow and completely destroy compile times, if some 3rd party library implicitly brought them in and forced me to use them they'd be getting booted immediately. An optional `to_string(...)` is exactly the right compromise for when your userbase is very particular about how they manage these sorts of things.
Hey Nathan, just caught up on another great stream! Quick question though - renderer.cpp:50 ( 1:54:58 ), shouldn’t it be 36 arrays? All the best, Paul.
I thought you said in the beginning of this series you wouldnt waste time on stuff you don't need. just like the stream you spend logging when you could have just used printf?
Have not seen the stream nor the entire vod but the video is slightly desynced behind the audio, just a tad. Nothing too serious but just felt that you should know if you didn't. edit: it really is so small that I feel petty for pointing it out, I'm sorry Nathan.
I never hire people straight out of university because they won't be around longer than two years on average. I also don't hire anyone whose resume focuses too much on Agile, SCRUM because knowledge based work isn't a production line; and/or CI/CD because I don't want pipeline ninjas wasting time and unnecessary systems resources.
2:04 for start of stream
You should start over and do it all with Vulkan so it takes longer
