Incredibly well acted. Superb direction. Brilliant script. The emotional tone perfectly complimented the visceral atmosphere of humanity’s collapse mirrored in one family’s disintegration. This is a monumental work of art.
Touching...and a bit heartbreaking story about the human experience for some. Everyone has a story. It was good she wanted to help her father even when he hadn't been the best. Also good he didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. That he felt remorse for a life lived not so well. Nice work on your film.
I’m traveling &. In the NT now, ironic. Very compelling film. I love the open ended unanswered conversation, makes the mind wonder and Conjure up answers expanding the storyline in many directions. 💥💥💥 Well Done!👍🙏
How does this not have more likes?!? Heartmoving to say the least, very, very well done! I have so many questions though I think it's probably better this way to let my imangination fill in the prologue and epilogue.
I don't understand. A father leaves his family for no reason other than "You wouldn't understand" and then gets stabbed by some random scavenger? I don't understand what this is supposed to be. is it a regular cabin in the woods, or is it post apocalyptic? why is the daughter so upset about the fathers presence? I don't know who I agree with because there is no development between each character. Maybe the father is a piece of shit and left, or maybe he was being abused. there is no telling what happened. Also what does the letter have to do with anything, it seems like it was heartfelt, but the daughter made it seem like a total rant on how he hated the mother. its just not adding up. if it explained anything else than the bear minimum, then maybe it might be decent. Overview, I liked the cinematography, but the story seemed a bit weak. 5/10
@Gen-X_Dirtbag sound reasoning, Gen-X so I agree that Tim should remove the last three words of his review: for no reason. but the review still stands. watch again; they both hear the thieves 'at the same time'. Dad 'instinctually' goes out to confront the thieves and daughter follows. the thieves see the girl. IF they had not heard the thieves it appears that they would have taken the gas and fled (speculation). knife man was just a lookout. the sacrifice was 'incidental'. then white light.

When he asked her if she was there to help get him out of there, she should have just said yes and not brought up the ruddy letter. Excellent film.
Oh my. I'd forgot about the blue tint at the top of the windshield.
Dude the cha ching of the shotgun😂😂😂😂

What can be considered as the character development is his realization or his final good will to his daughter & ex-wife!!
What do you think?
No clue, incomplete is complete? Superb cinematograpy. SQ..
This is the kind of event that resets the Earth to the state of primordial soup, if we're lucky.
at 3:48 the stain on the dish looks like a cartoon dog or a wolf
Omg it does
Good catch right there! It was actually done deliberately by our production designer

Nothing like the Beauty of a World Ending...
The apocalypse can come in many forms.
So, everybody dies. I'm not seeing how she could have gotten far enough away in time to survive...
Absolutely perfect!! Great job to all involved. All I can say is excellent. 😊
Agreed with the exception of the two butt wipes that kinfed him & were trying to what looked like steal their fuel.
when she started to begin the new type of a kind, sort of a classification
You can say that again!
Great work and teamwork ❤️
A rather depressing story, but very well acted.

At the very beginning, when she is driving down the dirt drive, you can see someone get out of her car
Amazing Film. thanks for Sharing.🥰🥰
The old man and his daughter argue about how childish he has been, and continues to be. Then the old man dies for no reason.
