Hi Mark. 👋 Great video and progress on LBL! 👍 I know I asked you before and I hope you don't mind if I ask you this subject again. But just on 1 🎞 this time. If you decide to do a 🚛 from Stephen King's MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE, which rig would you like to try to build? Someone already made a replica of The Green Goblin WESTERN STAR in 🇺🇸. But which of the other 🚛s from the 🎞 would you do? Sorry for being a chatterbox and writing a Looonnnnng message, just thought I'd ask and give you an hypothetical ider. Please, Thank you and Keep up the Super-awesome work.

Mark, - your tenacity and patience is on another level, up there with what you have achieved, where it wasn't long ago, we use to watch this "crazy" cheerful guy working on his beut old Pete in all that ice and snow, to now you having a beautiful workshop, a finished Kenworth / trailer and so much more- that is all second to none. Well done mate, and I mean that with all my heart!

A good practice when installing a clutch like that is to always orientate the clutch with the adjuster at the bottom when you mount it. As a general rule an engine will stop in one or 2 spots every time it's shut off, if you mount the adjuster down you have a better chance of it being in the correct location to adjust it without having to bump the engine around as much.

Hey Mark. Just wanna say I love your work and all of your videos. Just wanted to give you a hot tip about the Eaton clutches. When you install the Eaton clutch, always put the adjuster bolt down the bottom. What it does is when you tap the engine over. The adjuster bolt will always go towards the bottom of the bell housing and its so much easier than having to turn the clutch towards the inspection hole at the bottom of the Bell Housing.

Back in the day before clutch jacks, we would bear hug the clutch pack and squat up under the truck and use an input shaft with a ring welded on the end, once in with two bolts to hold in place we`d take a hammer and smack the ring and the shaft would pop back. Things have come a long ways from the 80s and 90s thankfully. Great work on her!

In my younger days I used to repair and maintain some trucks as a side job, for a yard that recycled bricks and roof tiles. The repair shed had a rough gravel floor so rolling jack's about was out of the question. Whenever I had a clutch or transmission job I used to employ the services of the local alcoholic,a barrel chested behemoth of a man named Alex.( He once made the news, despite being a drunk his quick thinking saw him lifting the back of a car clean off the ground while the 4 young guys in it were trying to make their getaway after robbing a massage parlour,😂) A very likeable and humble guy who would be more than happy to earn extra beer tokens. We would place the trans as near as possible to where it needed to go then put a trolley jack under the rear, then lying on the floor with his head at the engine end he would twist the trans over onto himself slightly while wiggling his arm, shoulder and one leg underneath it, then he'd proceed to manhandle it up and over onto his chest😮 then using just his knees and arm strength lift the front of the trans up onto the clutch while I would frantically jack the back up between his feet as he went, then I would slide under and gun a couple of bolts in quicky. I have thought about this many times over the years, it was madness!

The part I'm confused about is are you putting in a brand new clutch only to have oil leak all over it? Does that actually make sense when the long term plan to replace the block is many years away? One thing that seemed better over the years is you've done a great job learning that re-work is a pain and have done well to avoid it. The reason they don't say loctite is because as you put the bolts in the loctite can start to dry and then drag slightly, which gives a misleading torque reading
Doubt it matters on bolts that big done up that tight
