Thanks for pointing out exactly where the sensors are on this transmission, had a rather difficult time sourcing exactly where they were located up until this exact video.
FYI this video is applicable to Jeeps with the 545RFE transmission, 4.7 and 5.7 engines. Also, get someone with small hands or wrists to get through the super tight space between the transmission and front driveshaft OR hope you have exactly the right combination of extensions and universal joints lol.
Just an FYI, on my 2011 4WD 5.7L Grand Cherokee with 545RFE transmission.
* Both ISS and OSS speed sensors are located on the drivers side of the transmission.
* I found it easier to replace the rear/OSS sensor because it had more room.
* After your done replacing them, disconnect the car battery for 10 minutes to force
your cars computer to relearn the transmission when you start driving it again.
thanks im hoping that tis is the cause of my intermittent Cruise control issues.. 2005 Grand Cherokee 65k miles on it!!
Is this the same as a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6? My input sensor is bad I was told it was inside the transmission I was told it's on the outside of the transmission but I don't know...
Hello. 2008 jeep commander 5.7 AWD, same transmission. I replaced the two you are referring to, still having issues. How hard is it to replace the 3rd sensor located on top of the transmission? Any tips? thank you for your time.
'08 WK 3.0L CRD. Can you really access the sensors from outside gear box? Doesn't seem to match.
wait a minute so you mean to tell me if i get the correct tools i can change my sensor myself??? the mechanics tryna charge me 350 for this and you did it in 5 mins
is the first one the input and rear one the output?
Great video thanks.
Is Speed Sensor , (same as Cruise Control)? My 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland has cruise, but doesn't stay on. Could this be my problem? Maybe part or parts are going bad? I have to turn Jeep off, then restart it. Just to get my cruise back.

I have a 2008 jeep grand Cherokee and the speed sensor isn't where you showed it to be , .. any suggestions ?
@@mtlkillersmile It should be on the left side of the transmission case
@Ash S. Was it where on the driver side or passenger side? I can’t find mine either
I have an 08 as well. The sensors are located inside the transmission. AKA way more difficult to replace. I haven't done it yet.
hi is this for v6 or v8 engine
Could this cause it not to go in gear
This is a useless video that starts out under the vehicle and can’t tell where it is I’ve watched many videos on here and this is the only one relevant to the problem. Also nice job keeping up with comments and being helpful my dog helped me locate and replace it. 👀😒
Is this a v6 or a v8
What are the symptoms when this fails?
I got a code 0700 and 0715. Tx is jerky and slow to shift when it does. Doesnt get out of 3rd on the highways.... or goes into limp mode like the other reply.
Fingers crossed...
