AN EXCELLENT teacher. He explains in great detail--Very very good! What others post: Those who come at latin and ballroom from a West coast background [or country] : (1) have a hard time at loosing "the flat foot" "grounded in the floor" characteristic of West Coast and (2) Can't loose the slot and (3) Can't loose the 'night club' look with all the close-in combinations of underarm turns. [I call the latter: Pretzel Mania" in honor of people who think the Pretzel is actually a good figure.
Not the ballroom style cha cha I normally do, but it's fun to try none the less. I'm less critical of the different styles and types, as rather I'm out to have fun and a good time dancing. I'm not one to beat myself to death to get every motion or step perfect.
It's a very good male Swing dancer teaching latin. Its interesting because it is clearly Swing influenced. If you stop judging it by competion rules it looks very smooth, with a lot of ballroom step defintion removed. Very attractive social dancing - but it is definitely not going to win you an Dancesport competitions.
Michael Keihm is a great dancer and teacher. So why cut these videos off before they are done. It's fair that we're not shown the entire tutorial. But to teach one step from it and not even finish that step is putting too much tease in a teaser.

Very enjoyable dancing and music. That's what this is all about in dancing ....
people read the title of the vid .... chacha hot moves not ballroom figure patterns
wow... I'm so used to HD... the fidelity of this video is terrible. It's an old 16mm film that was copied. The dancers are amazing.
